Circle cutters...what's the best?

I need something that will cut some good circles, but since I've only used a dinner plate in that past, I have no idea what the best tool would be for cutting circles. What do you suggest?

I've tried many and the EK Cutter Bee curvy sets are my favorite. You can even turn the 'tool' around and run it on the outside groove for bigger diameter circles. It slides so easily for cutting. You do have to use a glass mat. The Coluzzle set is smaller to cart around but I hate having to trim the connector tabs created by it.

I am partial to the Creative Memories system. But I also like Fiskars if the blade is kept sharp.

I also have the one from EK and love it for the larger circles. For smaller ones I use the CM ones.

I looked at the EK Curvy Cutter, and also found a Hobby Lobby coupon for it. I'll have to look at it when I go tomorrow. It says it will only cut 8" circles, can you get any bigger than that? I don't know why I'd need one bigger, but you never know.

LOVE my Curvy Cutter!! You can do large circles, over 12 inches in diameter if you cut around the large template
The CC is my pick over CM because you can do large circles, and you can get it cheaper

My sil has one of these and it doesn't cut a good circle. It is all out of shape and jagged. Is it because she isn't using a glass mat to cut it???????????????????????

I have had this one for almost a year and it is still in it's package. I guess I need to get it out and start using it. I need to get a circle cutting template, that might encourage me more.

I handcut all mine. I use whatever I can to trace!

I have several circle cutters and I must say that the dinner plate is the best in the house!!! go figure!

Yes, use a glass mat. I've never had trouble with out of shape or jagged edges. Try a new blade. I find cardstock dulls my blades much faster than paper.

Perhaps you're not using enough pressure? Is the paper secured so it won't move anywhere? That's the only reason I can think of the circle not being a perfect circle, because the templates aren't flexible. So the paper has to be moving somehow.

Also, you have to make sure the foam pads are on the cutting mat (I use glass AND self healing and have no problem with either). That way it doesn't slip.

I have taught classes at my LSS about circle cutting, and I've found about 95% of the problems to simply be user error. If you use the products correctly, I've found nearly all the circle cutters to be effective. Some are just easier than others.

I love the CM system even more since they got the new blades; however, it doesn't cut the big circles. At least they don't have any yet that do. So, I cut a template out of cardstock and use my x-acto knife to cut out big circles.

It will cut bigger circles. All you have to do is remove the blade and put it in the opposite way. Then you cut around the outside of the template. Just as easy as the smaller circles! I love mine!

I use this one. Not only does it cut great circles without using a glass mat (I have a Martha Stewart mat that I use), it also has an adaptor that you can draw circles with it. I love it.

I love the Creative Memories circle cutter. You can cut circles of various sizes, and you always get a perfect cut. The other patterns they have are also great, but I find that I use the circle and oval patterns the most.

I have circler scissors and the circle ruler if anyone would want to buy it from me. I just don't use it. Write me and let me know.

I have that one as well and love it.  I have the option of drawing or cutting out the circles.  I use my 13x13 glass mat and works like a charm.  I like the look of the curvy system as well, and since I have this circle cutter, I'm looking into the oval and the square ones.  Found them at HL the other day and waiting for another great coupon to come out.
