Can't on such short notice. Besides everything else, I work with a h.s. drama group at church, and we have a performance next Saturday evening. But definitely keep me in mind if another one crops up. (Every pun intended.)

I know he is just trying to be helpful, but every time I talk to him he brings up how carcenogenic meat and alcohol are. So he is right on some of the harmful effects of alcohol, but it still gets old.

Matt is such a freak. He's been playing with a recorder since he'll be starting to teach it to his 4th graders this week. I asked him if he could play a song, so he just took off and played the theme song from Titanic. He has waaaay too much talent, its disgusting.

Late-August to late-December 1999.

My ideal job was yanked out from under me when my boss/good friend/like a brother decided to sell the business and go full-time into missions work.

My mother was in the final stages of cancer. We made several quick trips to where she & my dad lived because you never knew which would be THE time. (And nearly every weekend we were there just because it might BE the last time.)

I was helping DD cope with the pending loss of her beloved Mamaw. And her best friend (daughter of my boss - they were going to be moving). And her other best friend (from the neighborhood - we found out the girl was doing some things we didn't want DD exposed to, so we wouldn't let them play together anymore).

I had to start a new job with people I didn't know. (Part of the deal to sell the business was that there would still be a job available for me.) (Kinda like, here, take the good stuff, but then there's this other thing that's also part of the deal.)

I had a positive pap smear and had to have a D&C done. (Found out later it was a false positive and was probably caused by all the other stress.)

Found out DH had reignited an old flame in another state, had been emailing her regularly, and visiting her occasionally when he went to visit relatives on his mom's side of the family. She was wanting him to leave me and come be with her. He was unhappy with our life together, but hadn't said anything to me...and I was bouncing blithely along thinking all was terrific.

My mom passed away just before Christmas that year.

Once January hit, I went into SUCH a depression. I finally pulled out of it, but I've not been the same person since then. Like you said, I just can't seem to get back to that level of feeling good like I used to.

(And now you guys know more about me than most of my family and local friends do.)

I almost didn't come to this thing because I knew I would get zero time. Even the allure of CNN made me think hard about coming. John begged me to come. Said he wanted me to, wanted to spend time with me. My question is, am I allowed to be pissed out of my mind at him for leaving for the banquet at a reasonable time and then coming back to the room (waking me up) almost two hours after it ended. We've spent three meals together and that's it. I honestly can't tell if I'm overreacting.

I was gifted with the musical talent of listening. Yeah, I can listen to just about anything without even putting forth the effort. I really hope the kids inherit his talent. Noah sings really well and can already buzz on a mouthpiece. Savannah cannot carry a tune if she had it in a bucket, but she has a good ear for guitar chords. Me, I'll be the backup radio tuner!

He sounds like this one guy we have at church. He is on one of the worship bands, but you never know what he's going to play: recorder, flute, harmonica, bagpipe.

I had to run out and buy new earbuds today, my old ones broke. The cheapest choice I had at the store while remaining a brand I recognized are noise cancelling ones. I have to say, other than making my ears itch a little, they work well.

I almost didn't come to this thing because I knew I would get zero time. Even the allure of CNN made me think hard about coming. John begged me to come. Said he wanted me to, wanted to spend time with me. My question is, am I allowed to be pissed out of my mind at him for leaving for the banquet at a reasonable time and then coming back to the room (waking me up) almost two hours after it ended. We've spent three meals together and that's it. I honestly can't tell if I'm overreacting.

Deep down, yes. I also fell for his lines of "We'll do stuff, I want to do stuff with you" and "I won't be long"

I don't know. DD has a horrible runny nose. We just had a big cold front come in today so I am sure that is why.

DD has the bottles washed and drying (to be filled with water again...yeah...whatever).
She's sitting here sorting the bling that my sister sent her for her bday.

All printed papers from very old packs. So all I'm doing is adding pix, punch outs and bling. Really using up stash. I joined the "October ~No Spend Challenge~" and I'm trying very hard to use up stuff. For October, I hope to get more layouts done.

Tomorrow I plan on rescrapping pages that are falling apart in the albums I made for my church. The albums and pages are falling apart. These were 12x12 layouts that I'll convert to 8.5x11. It's one of those albums where the photos are put on both sides of page (single sheet with stuff on both sides). So I'm taking my Un-du.

Justified or not, I'd be aggravated. At least you're smart enough to find ways to entertain yourself. You're being a good, supportive wife.
