Rub ons

Apr '05 Dispatchscrapper

I found some rub ons at Wal-Mart, but they weren't in the scrapbook section. They were in the section with the paint stencils. Are those the rub ons everyone is talking about or are there some especially for scrapbooking?

There are some made espcially for scrapbooking. I know that Making Memories makes some and I'm sure other companies do as well. Hope that helps!

A lot of store that carry scrapbook supplies will have rub ons in the scrapbook section. But, you can also use the ones in the paint isle, as long as they are acid free. You may want to ckeck the package, they maybe acid free and okay to use. I know that there is a company called " Tulip" that makes some really cute rub ons and the ones I have are acid free. I think I found them at WalMart.

Thank you. Yes the packs did say acid free. I'll have to look around for the scrapbook ones.

Rub on titles from DCWV are my favorites and I also love the MM rub ons. Rub ons are properly my favorite scrapbook supplies to work with. Enjoy! Jaime

I was at Joanns (yep..again) this morning and I was browsing the paint section and they had rubons there too..I took a closer look and they all said Acid free on them and they all said great for scrapbooking...so of course I bought some...

A.C. Moore has a huge selection of rubons in their paint/stencils section AND also in scrapbooking section.

I have only used my rub-ons a couple times, but I like them a lot better than stickers

OK, I don't want to sound dumb, but what are rub-ons? SOunds like they are stickers? Tina

They're like stickers, sort of, but they come with a backing that you peel off, and then place the word/letter/image where you want it, and then rub it with a popsickle stick thingy until the image transfers to the paper.
