What kind of album?

I have photos from 23 years of marriage, 3 kids and 1 grandson. I do NOT have the negatives for almost all of these photos. I purchased a few CM albums but have been hesitant to use them since I won't be able to remove photos for reprints in the future. I've seen the Pioneer albums with multi-directional sleeves. I'm thinking I should go with those realizing there is less room for journaling/creativity. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks!

My mother had a similar problem, she didn't want to crop or permenantly attach her photos. She ended up getting a 3 ring binder album. She got a variety of types of pages. Some that were just the photo safe sleeves for the photos to slide into. Others she was able to add the journaling to and add more memorobilia. She got very creative with how things were set up. There would be entire pages of just photos and the others would be a mixture. She did say that album limited her creativity, but she is pleased with it now because she can easiely remove a photo to get it copied for a family member. I hope that helps some...

The Scrapworks Smart Album has different protectors with all different kinds of pockets for the pictures. Maybe you should check those out. Also, when I don't want to actually adhere the picture to the page permanently I will use only photo corners. It keeps them in and they are removable. Normally I just scan and print out the photos.

scrapsmart albums would work.

or just use photo corners with the albums you have. that way, the photos can be part of a layout, but they don't necessarily need to be cropped and the only thing actually attached to the page are the photo corners, and the actual photo is free to be moved/recopied/removed whenever. they come in clear and black and in all types of decorative styles.

My sisters and I just finished a book of my mother's school pictures (she graduated in 1945). Some of her pictures had been glued into various albums, but we were able to rescue them. We used clear photo corners to attach pictures in the new SB.

well....photos deteriorate over time anyways...my suggestion would be to scan all of the photos you want to scrap and store them digitally. Then go ahead and use the printed photos in your CM albums.

Because you've scanned the photo and saved it, anytime in the future if you need reprints, you have it.
