a layout in MM or CK within the past year that used paper in a label maker? It was one of the old timey hand press label makers and the LO was all pink. I'm trying to figure out what kind oof paper that was used. Has anyone done this before? It was really cute .

i don't recall the article but i've seen amazing los here using the same technique. You can pretty much us any papers you want - each gives a different look. I know some people prefer to run bazzil because it is thicker through the dymo labeler. Hope that helps!! Just make sure that you cut thing enough strips so the paper can smoothly run through it, lol...this is from my experience anyways.

you definetly want to keep your strips thin, and the article was in CK last year, it was one of the spring isues if memory serves me correctly....

and she is right there are LOTS of Lo's in the gallery that use this,

if you need any help I do agree with using bazill paper, or something with a bit of weight to it, and just experiment and have fun with it...I use mine alot, my dd loves it in her book...and asks for it on someof her pages....

Vellum works really nicely in the label maker.

To make the letters show up more, you can ink lightly over them, or if you use paper or cardstock with a white core, sand it very lightly so the white shows through.

I have done this before, using cardstock cut the same width as my label tape.

If you look in the April 2004 issue of CK page 40-41 they show how to use the label maker with paper, vellum, metal.......I think this is what you might be referring to! Good luck!
