"different" type of paper bag book

Quite some time ago I made a paper bag album for my friend..

I used the paper bags that didn't have flat bottoms....the type that you would put a magazine into
A dowel that is the length of the bottom of the bags
3 toggle bolts/screws...or nuts and bolts.....

Cut the dowel in half lengthwise.....put one half under the stack of bags....put the other half on top of the stack of bags.....(not on the end of the bags that is open)
Drill a hole in the top, middle and bottom of dowel....so it will go all the way through the wood, stack of bags and bottom piece of wood
Insert screw....and fasten toggle bolt on the back...or the nut...whichever you wish to use.....you can cut the excess screw off so it is not sticking out.......

Wish I had the book to show you....it was a pretty neat book....the bags were the 'pockets' and she could put pictures or whatever she wanted to on the face of the bags.......hope it isn't TOO confusing....

I painted the wood and the screws/etc. gold and decorated the rest of the book accordingly

That's a neat idea. I wonder if they sell those bags retail.

actually, I went to my local drugstore and asked for a stack of them....I just gave the owner a few dollars for them...
