Have a question AGAIN??

For the people that have done 8x8 or 6x6 LOs, how many pics do you get on a page, if you don't crop them, just leave them as is, and what else will fit???? I'm thinking of doing our family reunion pics in one of them sizes and wanted to know if I could get journaling and maybe a few embellishments on the same pg. Thanks

if you are doing 3x5 pics, you will be hard pressed to get more than one pic on each page, without it being really crowded. 8x8 will make that a tiny bit easier, but I would still stick with one pics. The only other thing you could do is crop pictures smaller, if you have some pictures that aren't so great you could use them as accents. HTH

I just completed an 8 x 8 gift album for my cousin who is expecting. I planned each page for 1 picture.

I put a small title on each page embellished w/eyelets. I used ribbon on each corner of the photo mat and used Little Suzy's zoo stickers in the bottom corner. A few pages I made the photo mats smaller so there would be room for a little journal box. Anything more would have been too much.

I had fun though, it made a nice change from full size and it was easy to do since I did basically the same layout on each page. A also used 2 patterned papers on each page for some extra visual interest w/out taking up too much space. I'll try and post pics later.

i made an 9x9 gift album for my boyfriend at christmas (Making Memories has the corner on this size book) and used 4xg and 5x7 photos (that 1 extra inch made the 5x7s workable). 1 per page. it turned out absolutely gooooorgeous, though! i used eyelets, brads, ribbon, foam stamped titles and slide mounts in addition to the backgrounds and photos.

my myself, i can't stand the littler ones - i take too many pictures. i *need* the 12x12 space. but for special events and gifty stuff they work great i think - good luck!

When I do smaller albums I tend to get creative, the pages are more interactive. Think of the children's books where you pull tabs and find things hidden in the pages. I'll use one picture as a focal point, but the picture will flip up or to the side with another picture on the back of that one, and another picture underneath. I've used brads to make wheels, so more journaling could be included too. I love tags. So I always have a small picture or something cute on the front, and journaling on the back. HTH!

I think that you should get gutsy and crop some photos. Doing a smaller album, you will most likely only get 1 on the page, unless you crop some. Like the others said, you can have interactive pages, with hidden journaling, and layer lots of stuff. Good luck. If you look in my gallery, I have a small 4x6 album of our summer vacation.
