starting first book

Mar '05 Planty

I know its silly but how do you get started? I want to scrap book my Disneyland trip and just had all of my photos printed at wal-mart. I feel over whelmed with 60 dollars worth of pictures infront of me. Im sorta scared to start the first page. Should I make a title page? I have not had the chance to look at someone elses scrapbook for ideas. Only online pages. I guess its a bigger project than I thought it would be.
I seem to have plenty of Ideas in my head but cant seem to put them down on the page.

Well first of all remember that you do not need to scrap all the photos you took...just weed out your favs and go from there.

I say take a few minutes or more, with your cup of tea, coffee or whatever you drink in the am and start looking through here for inspiration!

Ditto what Gina said... Have a look at the gallery here... you will get tons of ideas...
Remember you don't have to scrap every pic you print...LOL
Don't get overwhelmed..this is supposed to be fun! You'll do just fine!

a cover page is a great idea if you know what your going to do. When scrapbooking a trip I tend to scrapbook Day to Day that way I won't miss anything and things won't seem out of order.

Personally, I would do a title page that has 1 or 2 of the best pics you took, possibly with you and family members in it. Then sort the rest into categories - riding rides, eating, at the pool, in the car, shopping, etc. That way you have a subject for each layout (or multiple layouts within the same theme).
Like the others said, you don't have to use all the pics! Or you could, it's up to you. I would weed out the blurry ones and ones that are pictures of the same thing. Maybe you could share those with some friends or family.
