Is this ever an awesome layout.. Really like the creative way you did the My Life.. Love it.. Can totally relate to the hick town. I live in one of the biggest cities in the US now.. But I grew up on a farm in a little bitty town in Iowa.. There is nothing like living in a Hicktown.. Great job on this layout.
This is a great LO! I'm from a small town too. Well, it's a little bigger than yours & we just got our very first stop light put in. And I thought driving 20 minutes to Wal-Mart was bad! TFS!!
OMG...I must say this is fantastic! I am originally from a small town (pop. 1200 so our town is HUGE compared to yours!), so I appreciate this so much! The design, pics, colors...I love it all. TFS!
This is so absolutely cool!!! Added to my favorites right away. How did you do that awesome title "My Life". Debbie your photography really shines on this one. Fantastic!!!
this is awesome. Love that you included lots of pics, and as a small town girl I love your topic. My town is smaller than yours LOL. But we're closer to WalMart! :)
I've been around towns like this my whole life. GREAT job capturing the essence of it in the pictures! (Especially like the barn with the Amish quilt patterns.)
I, too, grew up in a small "Hick Town" - I agree with all your sentiments (I no longer live there, but at least I'm closer to a scrapbook store!!) ;)
This is really a fabulous layout!
I absolutely love this. We live in rural Ohio, in a hick town. I'm proud of where I live. My kids are proud of where they live. My 18 year old has milked cows for his part time job. They feel like they belong on a tractor. And, they say, this is who we are. I have to scraplift this. It's amazing.
Hick towns are pretty cool!! We lived in the County - had a city address, but were outside of the city. It was the most peaceful place we ever lived! Love the page!
You make me want to live in a little hick town, but I think I am so used to everything being within a couple minutes drive I probably wouldn't last. Your photos and journaling are wonderful!
I TOTALLY love this!! I was raised in very populated Los Angeles and now live in a very rural town of 1100 in western Colorado, so I can relate to this LO very well!! I love everything about this!! Your photographs are awesome and inspiring!! Is it OK if I lift it????
Love the layout! I envy you living in such a small community. We live in a town of about 25,000. Although I do like having a theatre nearby (about 20 mins away) and WalMart about the same distance! LOL!
Love the paper that looks like wood.....gives the LO such a nice rustic feel to it....photos are awesome.......and I love how u did the title...AWESOME LO!
This is gorgeous! Love the journaling. Looks absolutley my kind of place! We live about 8 mins from glorious white soft sandy beaches and the Indian Ocean with a reef with millions of coloured tropical fish. It's paradise............but we hardly ever go to the beach! I would rather live in the hills behind Perth which would be exactly like your town! (except for the moss and fields!) I love peeling paint stuff too! Better get on. I am doing a memory album for my MIL and it's taking forever! I have uploaded some of the pages but I have about 20 more to do in about 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Er I think not! How's Miss Riley?
What a great lo! Nostalgic for me; my relatives lived in KS and every year we would visit them in their little town. Your wonderful lo brings back memories!
Your town is beautiful, and tranquility is priceless!! I to love the deer in my yard, they are such a gentle creature. Your LO is great and captures the essence of a rural community...Very nice...
This is for the FSS group Scrap Your Home Town Challenge. I'm also entering it in the 'Scrap your Photo a Day' Photo Challenge, and the Multi Picture (6+) Challenge...and the More than 1 Challenge.
The hidden journaling reads:
I live in a very rural community...population 560. I don't live in a destination hot spot. We don't have a theater, or cultural centers, or fine dining. We don't have traffic lights or traffic jams. We don't have clear blue skies & white sandy beaches. What we do have is tranquility. I love the deer in my yard, and the newborn fawns every spring. I love seeing things like this mossy covered shed & tree. I love the old shutter with it's peeled paint! I love old brick and old barns! Simple old rundown items are an every day site here....to me they are a site of beauty.
Yeah it's a drag driving 45 minutes just to get to a Wal-mart....LOL...and some people jokingly refer to my area as Deliverance....but that's ok.... I love living my life in a hick town.
Thanks for looking! :-)
