great pictures! it is quite a somber and eye opening place to visit! beautiful and tragic! TFS! - wow on Dollscrap's story! that was a true gift to experience that!!!
What a nice layout about an awesome memorial..that place is so eerie. When I visited there in 1979 there was a survivor of the attack visiting there as a tourist and he began explaining his account of what happened to his friends and a good sized crowd gathered around him and he gave us a blow by blow account of that day...and using that big model of the Arizona he showed us how and why the ship blew up and how it lifted all the way out of the water and then sank so very fast.....it was so emotional there was not a dry eye in the place. I will never forget that.
This one has a tag to pull to see the journaling since it was VERY long (front and back) about the history of Pearl harbor and my thoughts while touring the memorial.
