Oh I love these rich color combo's! What an awesome LO! I'm not sure what the difference is from this technique and what the norm is w/ the H2O as I just discovered it tonight. How do you like it? And which color did you use on the wings?
knew you were soon done with another SB LO, so I was anxiously waiting to hear it was done.Every SB page you've shared with me has always been the highlight of my day. :-) You talked to me about using steampunk, but since I'm a newborn at scrapbooking,(in fact, my 1st SB page is still in the thinking process!?!? I didn't totally understand the concept. Well I must say, I didn't expect this MASTER PIECE!! It really pulls at my heart strings! It brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing such moving, heartwarming Master Pieces!!! :-)
This is beautiful...love the colors and the pps..aren't they cool??. I love the lady in the gear..just realized you'd mounted her on a gear. Love how your letters turned out. Very attractive and eye catching layout.
Here's my first steampunk lo. I had a blast doing it. The two photos are of my ds when he was a teenager. I used a technique called "stippling with twinkling h20" that I found on youtube. The woman who showed the technique credited Kim Benington Thompson for the idea. Basically, you take a piece of shelf paper that you wad up and dab into the H20. That's the technique I used on the wings and the word "reluctant." I glossy accented "angel", which I'd first inked with mahogany stain. I also used the mahogany on the chipboard gears. I distressed them afterwards with black soot.
