I have that background paper, so magical & how perfect for this wonderful photo & their special day! What a great lesson on making your butterflies, so creative you are! BEAUTIFUL!:)
Every time I see this I notice something else I did not see! Your details on this are amazing! I love the butterflies you created and your flowers are Beautiful! Love the fan too!
Hi, here I am ...took a long look again in close up and LOVE every inch of this page as usual. I am happy you could take a nice picture in the sun, so we see all the shimmer! All the favs to this one, which I gave already the first day , wink!!
totally and utterly amazing, particularly the way you did the butterflies?? Did you do a tuturial I can visit for these? So creative & clever. The whole lo is beautiful, every part from the jewels to the lace to the torn papers... & the swarovski bird is darling! :))
Fabulous page of wonderful textures and beautiful embellishments, love the butterflies especially. The photo is amazing as is all the lovely stitching.Great work.
I like the way you used the lavender lace and fan! You did a lot of intricate stitch work and beading, which is very pretty, around the border. All of the butterflies you made are beautiful. Lovely work!
so much gorgeousness to look at here-LOVE those butterflies, especially the clear ones...so creative!! The scattered pearls and gems are a perfect touch.
Beautiful colours, romantic pic, pretty butterflies (you should make a little video of how you made them). I like how you dressed up the fan, and the lace looks lovely behind the frame. The gems add just the right amount of sparkle. Very artistic throughout.
WOW, Melissa - you've outdone yourself - this is breathtaking - love the color palette, the textures, the jewels, those gorgeous butterflies, that beautiful little fan, the stitching - love it all - once again, you really need to magnify it to appreciate the true artistry - FAVE ~
These are some friends of ours.
I used texture paste for the two butterflies on the bottom left and right. The clear one in the tear away was clear gel medium using a dry embossing stencil . I used packaging cellophane.Theres a smaller one at the upper right corner.
The lavender lace on either side of the photo is from Quick Silver. So is the little fan to the left of the pic.
The little purple flowers on the borders and at the top were with a ms punch. SheilaMarie used them in a lo and I really liked them.
If you look close at the lavender fabric flower to the right of the pic you can see a little green bird. It has a Swarovski pink butterfly on one of its wings.
I hope you all like this!
The green bird is about an inch above the page. I bought what looked like a bouquet of them , and I thought, I like this. Theyre on wires.
Some people have been asking how I made the clear butterflies. I used the Martha Stewart embossing stencil, and clear gel medium. Instead of using paper, I used the cellophane that scrapbooking supplies come in. I used it just like texture paste. It does take awhile to dry. A couple hrs if you don't put it on too thick.
I brushed mine with some gold acrylic paint. When dry I cut away the cellophane. I used the gel medium the same way as texture paste that is.
If you want to , you can make your own stencil with a punch and some cardboard.
The medium is called Gloss Gel.
