Gorgeous color, details and background! You really know how to get that romantic look Melissa! I am drooling over that punching and seed bead work~so into my FAVS!
Oh how pretty. Melissa, you asked what I used for the rain drops. These embellishments are by "the Robins Nest" called "dew drops". I've seen these at Michaels before.
WOW! This is gorgeous & I love how you punched & cut the layers of paper. Wonderful dragon flies & all the work you put into them. Yes, I have seen some of the creations done with the Lindy's spray, on my wish list like so many other things!:)
gorgeous-I just love the dragonflies you made! I didn't know about the Lindy's sprays-they sound interesting!I really like the way both the beadwork and stitching seem to be entwined around the page, and the distressed punched edges are great!
Wow! I just had to sit and stare at this because there are so many fun details. I love your punch work, dragon flies, and that pretty pearl flourish. Beautiful photo too!!
Another fabulous LO - so very creative - I think I spend more time looking at your LO's than I do with any others - I keep going back and seeing more ~
This is sooo beautiful Melissa! To me its a combination of romantic and whimsical. The lace, flowers and punches create the romantic side and then all the little flying critters and bling gracing the edges and corners of the layout make it so whimsical. I just love this! TRULY A WORK OF ART!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally in love wih this one!! And That is because I can see you really made a lot of work on it and thought about the details. The colors just fit in together. The whole page with the layers around give me the feeling of a beautiful surrounding for that picture. And as always with your pages I get the feeling: MADE WITH LOVE!!
An embellie from a bottle of wine; think I've heard it all now, lol... Seriously, love that you know where each & every one originates...
As always Melissa, you bring a page to life with all the wonderful treasures! Beautiful use of different paint techniques - all coming together with fabulous effects!! :))
DAZZLING work, Melissa; you hit a home run with this one. I'll bet this looks AWESOME IRL. Your wedding gown was STUNNING. Beautifully embellished, pretty papers, and so many gorgeous layers to enjoy. Fabulous technique on the dragonflies.
Absolutely magnificent page; LOVE your flowers, pearls, butterflies, and the awesome metal dragonflies! Superb punching and layers... a wonderful wedding photo!!
This was inspired by Lindys stamp gang sprays. I don't have them, but Ide like to . Its neat how when you spray , 2 colors show up. I thought ide try and catch that . The dragonflies are molding paste. I painted them gold and outlined them with gel pens. Then I painted with lumieres, silk acrylics, and I mixed mica powders with water. The gold works really well. I experimented with mixing patina paints ,lumiers, and water. That what I used on a lot of the outside edges.
From Quick Silver I got the lady bug in the upper left corner, the butterfly with gems hanging from the pink flower at the middle top, the square clear bling on the upper right, and the small white mother of pearl piece at the lower left. From 48FiveTime I got the big diamond shaped bling at the upper right, and the Zva pearl flourish. I attached it to a dragonfly under the photo. The gold butterfly at the upper right is 2 inches off the page on a coiled wire . I tried to use the pearl flourish on that but it didn't work. Thank you friends for your items.
The dragonfly at the upper left is from a bottle of Giovanni pinot grigio I bought in Door County,Wisconsin when I was on vacation. Just now I looked it up to make sure I had the brand right. I found a reference to a wine blog, which was so entertaining and funny. I had to stop, theres only so many hours in the day to read stuff online. I was in Door County 2003 about.
Theres an earring at the upper right,it has pink and green rhinestones.I don't wear them anymore.
I also used twinkle H20 watercolors around the borders, and also on the Dusty attic. I used a lot of stuff on that, seeing which I liked most. Lumieres, metallic paint, mica powder, all in layers, again going for a watercolor effect.
Thanks for reading all this, and if youde like to make a comment, ide love to read it . They mean a lot to me.
The big pink flower at the top is Jolee's.
I did some stamping using lumieres in different colors. I want to give Reneabouquet a shout out for the stamping with acrylic with bling added. I don't think ive done that before. Before coming here I did stamp with acrylics on cards, a lot of times ide pour hologram glitter onto it, on a dark bg.
