To make this, I stamped the ‘Hope’ background stamp with Versamark ink and clear embossed it, on watercolour paper.I then went over the image with Distress inks (black soot, faded blue jeans, weathered wood and a very little pine needles).I smooshed the pads on plastic and lifted the ink with a wet brush to apply to the card. Once that was done I went over the suface again with some irridescent gel medium and sprinkled a little blue pearl ex pigment onto parts of the wet suface and blended that around. The viney looking flourish and the bird stamp were both from an Inkadinkado flourishes stamp set and were stamped and embossed seperately and added on top of the background. This was a togh piece to photograph. In daylight the shine is hardly noticible and the piece looks a little dull and the colours very soft. At night, under artifical lights the shine and irridescense pops right out and makes the piece look rich and vibrant.
