I just finished organizing my room which doubles as my library, office, and scrapping area :) and wanted to share the finished product. I took my inspiration from a few Orla Keily organizational bins that I've been using in my room. It was pretty much entirely done with scraps and there's a lot of hidden journal in this one. TFL!

Journaling reads:
When I was planning this layout, I really wanted to emphasize all of the elements that make up my room and basically, what makes up me. “These are a few of my favorite things” kept replaying in my head as I was working on this. I love my room! It's so quintessentially me!

Art: Georgia O'Keeffe is my favorite artist. I love her use of color and the tremendous depth found in it. This print of the “Birth of Venus” by Botticelli has always intrigued me. I constantly catch myself just staring at the art in my room.

Lemons: Since Matt's and my trip to Paris, lemons have been a little joke between us. I sent him a “Be Mine” lemon for Valentine's Day and have started a mini collection. I smile every time I see them.

Travel Mementos: I don't really “collect” anything while I travel. But I love bringing home unusual things or objects unique to a country. Here's a bongo I picked up in Marrakech, Morocco and a slanting bottle of lemoncello from Pisa, Italy. One of my most cherished mementos is the ticket I saved from my visit to the World Trade Center in 2001, featured in picture 7.

Interestingly, just remembered that I scrapped my bedroom from high school. So funny to see the difference 6 years will do. Bohemian Bedroom

xxbesos
j.leija
