I wanted something new on my mantle, I had an empty white frame, so I created this paper pieced flower picture. I love that it basically cost nothing to make! (This is a great way to use up scraps!) I find framing something automatically elevates it to a new level artistically. Sometimes when you take something that's ‘okay’ and frame it, it becomes 'wow'.

I didn't really have a plan, just kind of moved things around and choose colors I liked, and ended up with this arrangement. Each piece I cut out was inked on the edges before putting it together.

Supplies:

patterned paper (Creative Imaginations, K & Co., K I Memories, Doodlebug Designs, BasicGrey, Sandylion, Little Yellow Bicycle)

cardstock (Bazzill)

ink (Hero Arts)
