Give a Cheer
made this hat out of one of those $1 hats u buy at 4th of July from Walgreen's. It was red white and blue striped. i covered it with gesso, then inked and inked and inked some more with Lindy's. Added weathered clock die, Tim Holtz pocket watch that u alter is on the side, don't think you can see on these pics, lots of butterflies, flowers, steampunk gears, etc. the hot air balloon on top i made from a styrofoam egg, used fabric to cover it and some trim with beads dangling. the bottom of the balloon is a very little bucket i found at craft store, i used heavy rods and chains on the side and the little basket at the bottom is a small paper mache' box that i glued to top of hat. it is very busy but fun. I wore this to church for a hat competion and won first place for creativity..yeah. I should have taken side photos but i didn't want to burn yall out..LOl
