I am not a painter so haven't had experience with the myriad of products out there to use. I was interested in something that would be uncomplicated to use to give my painted pages a bit of texture and I've found it in Studio gesso. It goes on smoothly and is very easy to work with. I like it very much.
Scrapbook.com seems to have the best price for this size Gesso-works great!
Overall, this does what it was designed to. However, there was leakage around the seal upon delivery. Luckily, this didn't ruin any of my other purchases.
I used the gesso as a base for oil pastels. It dried beautifully, and quickly, the coverage was excellent. Ranger has made another great product
The picture makes this look bigger than it really is, was disappointed in how small it was, which for the price, wow, this stuff is expensive!
This product is a must for anyone who likes to have that distressed look to their projects!
