With oranges so expensive in my area, not one bit goes to waste! After eating the juicy fruit, I striped the peels (saved the scraps), and candied them (so easy!) The scraps were put into a baggie then into the freezer. I use them to freshen my garbage disposal.

I experimented with teabag paper and a new watercolor set to make the orange background. It seemed a little meh so I added just a little gold (now I cant remember - either gold watercolor or mica powder). That teabag paper is my new favorite - it takes on water like nothing else (well, I guess it IS teabag paper!) and dries flat & unwrinkled. The oranges are a Momenta stamp set and colored with coloring pencils.
