Such a pretty little beastie, great close-up too! Love how you added the enlarged view of this fiend, the foliage paper is just perfect and I love your journaling in white on red on the black BG to mimic the bug.

Pretty But Should Be Squished

I came across this gorgeous insect while blueberry picking. I couldnt get over how the white dots just popped off the red and black coloring of the body, and thought I was so lucky to snap such a find. Well..turns out, when you see these, you need to report and smush. They are very invasive and destructive to plants. Maybe thats their defense - theyre so pretty, no one wants to squish! (Theyre called Spotted Lanternfly)
