I'm sharing the Halloween Watchlist Mini Album that I put together for the month of October for Brutus Monroe today. I'm documenting a month of Halloween movie watching with this project for the fourth year running. I used Brutus Monroe Lightweight Surface Board to create the covers and spine of this album. After I cut the panels and painted the pieces with Black Gesso, I used book binding tape to connect the front and back covers to the spine. A recent shipment of scrappy goodies was sealed with this fabulous jack-o-lantern packaging tape. I carefully removed the tape from the box with a little help from my heat tool and wrapped the spine of this album with the tape. I added patterned paper from the Bloodmoon Manor 6x6 Paper Pad to both sides of the front and back covers. I created two movie themed signatures plus a 24-page art journal inspired by some of my favorite horror films using brown and black packing paper. I added movie scenes to stamped televisions for each 2-page spread that features a synopsis of the film and, after viewing, my review and rating. I used the Deco Numbers Mixed Media Stencil to add the days of the month to every other page for a pop of color. I had so much fun playing with Brutus Monroe products to fill the art journal pages that are inspired by some of my favorite horror films. Not every product was intended for use in a scary project, but there are so many versatile designs that it was easy to combine the Monroe Manor Halloween themed items with everyday products from my Brutus Monroe stash to celebrate some iconic movie lines on the page.
