Wow, this is fabulous! With the logo on it, it definitely looks store bought! I didn't realize that you and your DH had made it until I read the description! The job you did with the walnut stain is simply amazing. The wood really looks distressed and the piece has such a charming, vintage feel to it. Perfect! Cheers, Amber
I agree. I have a lot of misters too, and the black stand is not all that. You need to really put these together and sell them. Very nice. I will be scraplifting this one.
I painted it with ordinary paint that you paint your walls with. I took some walnut stain on a piece of cloth and applied it here and there. The "Mini Mister" text is cut out from the plastic bag that the spray bottles come in. You can see it on the picture above. I attached it with glue. The embellishments are attached with glue dots.
This is a real quickie. Apart from painting it I finished it in about ten minutes. I tried not to put to much embellishment on it. I think it´s easier to use if it´s not totally covered.
Thank you all so much for your sweet comments, I really appreciate it.
I guess I´m not alone. These annoying Mini Mister bottles keep falling all the time. I´ve seen some boring storage for them, but nothing I really liked. Since we are rebuilding our house we get plenty of leftovers. It took a couple of minutes to drill a couple of holes in a peace of wood. They are not in the same depth, but I think it´s more charming. :-)
I painted it with some paint we had left and then used som Distress Ink (walnut stain) on it. The "Mini Mister" logo is from one of the packages the bottles came in. I added some flowers, ribbon and a butterfly...
You can easily put it on a wall, I keep mine on the desk for now.
