I took scraps from a cropped photo or two and made the border out of extra squares. saw this in a magazine a while ago as a great way to use extra landscape photos - border that's guaranteed to match/coordinate with the photos!
I particularly liked how I lined up the square with the waterline approximately even with the sky/water/sand divide in the picture on the left :)
