I have azaleas and camellias just starting to bloom in my yard, they are over 50 years old and I rarely give them any care, both are evergreen. The odd thing this year is that they started blooming at the same time -- in January. The azaleas shouldn't start blooming until late Feb or early March (need warm weather to bloom) and the camellias should have started in November (need cool weather to bloom) -- our bizarre "winter" with very warm weather and a few little cold snaps since the new year have caused them to bloom together!!!!
