I have a stamperatus but am considering getting a misti, do you think it's worth it or are they nearly the same size. Thank you   By: User (24-Jan-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • What size are you looking at in the Misti? Your question showed up in the MINI Misti Size. Your stamper is larger. Misti also has a huge size 12x12 inches. (Misti comes in 3 sizes and many do not know that.) If you are happy with the results of your stamper you now own then I'd stay with it. If you are thinking it would be great to have a smaller travel one or just a smaller one like I want to make small sentiment stamps quickly with a small stamp press I can have handy and even leave out without taking up so much room then maybe the Mini would be a great addition to your crafting. FYI watch for sales and percentage deals off or better usually still is the rare free shipping deals to pick up any of the 3 Misti's here on Scrapbook. My question to you basically is do you get good results with your currant stamp press? Or just want to know what all the buzz is about an over priced brand that to my opinion did not own a patent on because similar presses existed already but they sued many anyway and many of those should not have settled. But it's expensive to challenge too. I'm not a fan of companies who behave that way. There is room for everyone at the table when it comes to craft tools and media. • Stamperatus is 8x8. Misti is 8x10 so not a significant difference. Misti does have measurements engraved on 3 sides which can be helpful. By: Alisa A (22-Apr-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Does the Mini Misti come in other colors. I really like the light pink or teal. I have the original Misti pink and would like a different color.   By: maxon4 (24-Aug-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

  • I'm trying to decide if I need the regular one or the mini. I read a review that the regular one isn't as well made. I don't make anything but tags and cards, but see the mini is too small for a standard 5X7 card. Info please Thanks!   By: ycequeen57 (14-Apr-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I have had the regular since February. The plastic around the middle hinge completely just came apart through no fault of mine. Now when I open it the lid pops and more comes off plus the 2 end hinges also cracked. I did some research, didn’t take much, and found that this is a common problem people have. While there is a limited 2 year warranty and I submitted proof of the defect and receipt, the owner won’t uphold her end stating that it’s not a manufactured defect. She won’t tell me what the issue is either though because like I said, nothing happened to my MISTI. While I do agree it’s a great design and works well, what I’ve heard about the owner, my experience with her, the quality of the product and the fact that she pushes religious beliefs by making every one only available with a Bible verse on it I’m having a hard time replacing it with another when you can buy cheaper versions better made in China (same place hers comes from). Take this into consideration when buying and the fact that she chooses when to honor the warranty and the price keeps going up for the regular if you need another. • I have them both. If you are making cards you will want the 8x10. I didn't see any difference in quality. I like to take the mini with me for projects that fit, like tags. I Always use them both. Be very careful not to put the magnets together bc they will break. . I take them off one at a time and one goes to the left and the other to the right.Sweet petunia said they will not replace them. This must be a problem for a lot of people. I just ordered 2 more sets. By: Kamos (16-Apr-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Will this work for unmounted rubber stamps?   By: LiLi (20-Mar-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I just unmounted a cheap rubber stamp yesterday...it was old and the cushion separated from the rubber. I applied a very thin layer of Aleene's Tack-IT Over & Over on the back of the rubber, let it dry for several hours and then tested it on the Misti. It did not leave any residue on the cover of the Misti and worked perfectly.

Now I'm in the process of unmounting a lot of other stamps by zapping them in the microwave for a few seconds and the cushion has remained intact on them. I plan to use static cling vinyl on those and leave the cushion intact. By: syland (07-Apr-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • All of these Acrylic hinge like and other styles of stamp presses will accept most unmounted rubber stamps. As the other ladies mentioned. So if it works on a stamp block you manually press down on then most stamp presses accept the rubber ones too not just the clear stamps of today. I got rid of a few of my favorite 26 year old rubber stamps before learning I could remove from their wood base. Sadly one was huge that was all the lyrics to "Oh Christmas Tree" And I could never get it to print well in part due to it's size. With the presses I could have no doubt had better results even if it meant several inkings. I've searched for the same or similar stamp in acrylic version today but found none. Your question is a great one especially for those of us who go way back with stamps into the 90's etc. OK just remember you can't see through the solid rubber for placement. So you may want to use a scrap of paper cut to card size to make sure you are set where you want it if it's a large stamp especially helpful. I keep scrap paper around for this. Any copy paper or card stock. (When making a 60 book directory off for a class reunion in 2018 those providing me updates kept sending them till I finally had to put a stop to it the week before the event. This meant I had a lot of one sided lightly printed the other blank and I kept the 200 plus sheets of paper for scrap use. It was a thicker text paper and some a very light card stock both. With a gold fleck and it's perfect texture for stamping on. I still save copy paper with print on one side and blank on the other too. I keep a stack in a small drawer handy for easy reach. • Will this work for unmounted rubber stamps?   By: LiLi (20-Mar-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes it works fine. I applied a very thin layer of Aleene's Tack-IT Over & Over on the back of the rubber, let it dry for several hours and then tested it. It also works well for cling mounted rubber stamps. By: syland (07-Apr-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I want to buy a misti for my mom who is legally blind but still quilts and makes cards. It says I can choose the base color but I am trying to figure out what is considered the base. Is it the frame around the misti or the part that you lay your card stock on. Because she is blind she doesn't see some colors well and I need to make sure before I purchase it. Thanks   By: bearlea (08-Nov-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • You might prefer to get your mother the medium size Misty. That comes with colored trims. I think 4 the last time I looked. A light pink, a blue, a darker pinkish red and black. The base is black on all the Misti's I'm aware of. The mini might be too small for regular card making if you are looking for a stamp tool for 5x7 size cards as the Mini is too small for them. Now about that base color? There are sticky mats you can lay down onto the base and that can be done in white and or DIY sticky mats you can cut down off sheets of Low tack sticky mats used in electronic paper cutting machines. So you can find them in pastels like pink and mint green etc. I lean towards the DIY as I've found some of the ones sold to use in your Misti or similar presses don't fit as well as they claim and you still need to trim and many are clear and you place a grid clear or under it. These sticky pads are often sold to do stencil work or to lay down on your work surface to help hold your paper still while you work inking or drawing or stenciling. So that's how you locate them. Scrapbook sells at least one kind here but I believe it's a clear version. Odd brand or generic DIY 12x12 size pastels just make sure they are LOW tack might be great for your moms use. If the low tack is still to powerful you can pat it a number of times with towels to reduce it so it does not tear paper media. By: LASinMT (16-May-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! I'm confused about the different stamps, i.e. unmounted rubber stamp and unmounted clear stamp. Could you explain difference? Thank you.   By: User (13-Oct-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Unmounted rubber stamp is when the stamp is just a piece of red rubber without the cushion in between it. Usually a rubberstamp is the red rubber then a gray foam then the wood block. I think the unmounted clear stamps someone is talking about is like the "unmounted clear" stamp like Stampin up sells. It's not totally clear but it has the stamp itself then the gray foam. You mount these on acrylic blocks to use.so you can still see where you're stamping. By: Liz02 (16-Oct-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • I was thinking about purchasing a MISTI, what is the purpose of the mousepad that is for sale, does it go with the mini or the large MISTI, I just want to make sure that when I order I get everything I need at one time. Thank you.   By: eprosper (21-Apr-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Both Size mistis come with a pad that fits inside. You remove it only when you use padded rubber stamps. For clear stamps or I mounted the pad stays in. You do not need to buy any other items to enjoy the misti. I love mine. By: nch (23-Apr-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • The stamping area is only 6 x 4.75..so while certainly for a layer..not the entire card..and if you put 5x7..it will get creased for sure. The regular misti would be better for that. I have both (just got my Mini)...so that tells you how valuable I have found it. By: BetseyTerry (18-Mar-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • First time I used my Misti at a class, and after warning about the magnets, first person tested it out and broke both magnets.
Any chance that you will have replacement magnets for sale?   By: bevdahl (04-Sep-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I bought Neodymium magnets on Ebay to use in a journal. My seller was in another country and my magnets came from China but they still arrived in a timely manner. I bought very tiny magnets but they probably come in different sizes. Even with shipping the price was good and there were no fees. Always read the fine print though. Sometimes you see them on Amazon but they didn't carry the tiny ones. I pinched my fingers trying to separate them. Ouch! Keep them away from small children. • I was wondering about the cleaning. They seem to emphasize using the right product, and warn damage may occur if you try cleaning it other ways. Is locating and purchasing this special cleaner a pain? Is it expensive? Just checking before I decide to invest in one of these.   By: Lorraine Hanson (16-Aug-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
