    • Search via the internet for "Craft Platform, Cutting Mat, Adapter, 3 Plates for 6 inch Adjustable Die Cutting & Embossing Machine" Bira the manufacturer for this Gina K machine does make replacement platforms usually sold in bundled sets with the adapter for steel rule dies and also a cutting plate. Note they are sold 6" by 9" standard that comes with the Intri-cut but also there is a 6" x 13" extended size too. (Make sure you select the size you want and not a 9" machine version also available for 9" x 13" machines and platforms that Gina K has yet to introduce. The minute she does I'll be at the front of the line because I am sold hook line and sinker die and embossing folder wise with this 6" machine. I suspect eventually these will be available here on Scrapbook too. However you can also buy from Scrapbook the magnetic platform and cutting plates for the 6" machine that will allow you to cut two sides again. And yes Scrapbook sells the replacement cutting plates for both the regular grey cutting plate and the replacements to the magnetic version. • I found one for the makers of this machine by their name brand and that's a great option. However if you really need a new platform Scrapbook sells the magnetic set here too which I happened to buy when I bought this basic machine along with extra cutting mats and the silicone rubber mat too. The magnetic set for just under $35 right now fits perfectly with this machine. It's platform is a smidge less thick as original platform. Then it has a cutting plate that's magnetic and yes you can get replacement magnetic plates. One side is a cutting side the other magnetic that sticks extremely well to the platform. Then there is a classic clear cutting plate that as far as I can figure out I can switch out for the grey cutting plate sold for the Intri-cut. There is a bonus plus too with this set. I have several double sided cutting dies that was a problem for me to think around if I bought this machine how to handle. WELL this solves that problem. With the double cutting plates one for the top one for the bottom of these double sided dies I can safely use my double sided dies without worry to damage the original or the magnetic platforms. I don't use these double sided plates often and I'm not positive but they may have been discontinued but Scrapbook was kind enough to answer my question about how I could use them but they didn't reference the Magnetic platform as a solve and it really is. So really happy customer now that I discovered the day all my order arrived with the machine. I instantly grasped this was a fix. Even though I only have 5-6 of the double sided dies and I prefer to cut one side at a time rather than stack paper for each side of the die this magnetic system and set makes me whole. And the other gem not maybe understood instantly is I now know I can if I choose use any of my 6" or less 3mm acrylic cutting plates also with the magnetic die platform sets and yes I may at times need to adjust loosening or tightening the bottom dial it's all workable without damage to the machine. (I have a lot of 3mm cutting plates which I tended to order on sale when name brands came up and deals to be had often here on Scrapbook.com too. So I'm thrilled with the extra solves this set I wasn't sure I needed opened the door too. By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I am so confused about what plates to use with Gina K die cutting machine. My machine came with the base, adapter plate and C plate. Now I see a magnetic plate but dont know what to use it with or in place of what I have. Thank you.   By: jskogs (07-Aug-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • The Gina K Designs - Intri-Cut - Magnetic Platform Set is used separately from the plates that came with your machine. They can be found here link It is a set including a thick base plate with magnetic top, magnetic cutting pad that holds tightly to the thick base, and a clear cutting plate. Click on the video to watch Gina demonstrate how this is used. https://youtu.be/Xi4w_-bBwdk?t=697 By: Scrapbook.com (08-Aug-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • So my original question was how to cut double sided dies with this machine. Scrapbook die a decent job answering but I do not see either post here. I'm back to answer my own question about how to cut double Never ever cut into the platform. I have more than a hundred other dies however that are the usual kind across different brands. I already ordered the machine when two different people contacted me a few days apart asking me how they manage similar double sided dies? I'd just ordered this Gina K machine...hmmm? The answer is simple. Scrapbook sells the magnetic platform and plate set by Gina K and it solves this problem instantly. As it works by providing two cutting surfaces that you can use at the same time. It comes with a platform, a magnetic cutting plate that sticks to the platform on one side the other is a cutting side. And an acrylic 3mm classic cutting plate. Now you have the option to cut either side or in my case both sides without damage to the platform. You can buy other magnetic replacement cutting plates sold here on Scrapbook and more of the grey cutting mats sold with this machine when needed too. I lucked out ordering the magnetic set, replacement cutting plates for this machine the grey one plus also the magnetic replacements too. It's a fluke I ordered not sure just all I would need but had read reviews how wonderful the magnetic set was. NOTE for those who worry about such as I do myself when you place on flat surface the original Intri-cut white platform and the magnetic platform with the die plate attached it's identical in thickness. You no doubt can also use the grey cutting plate in place of the clear acrylic both are 3mm. My neighbor's precious hubby is buying her this machine as a gift too. We unboxed and put the entire basic machine through it's paces by following Jennifer McQuire's Youtube how to use this machine. Highly recommend viewing it to get a leg up so to speak on how easy it is to understand and use. Sadly the basic machine today is out of stock today. I just lucked out getting mine this Tuesday. I recommend the machine but if you find yourself with double sided dies there is a solution by Gina K and Scrapbook alike.   By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! How much pressure is needed to press and turn the project/pressure dial? Im an elder with weak hand strength. Thank you   By: User (06-Jul-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • I'm 75. So not really old but I have some arthritis and weak wrist issues including a mild birth defect that often limits my ability to turn knobs or open jars or grasp objects with my right hand as well as I'd like. I'm find with the knobs on this machine. My machine that came earlier in the week has been put through a lot of paces trying out various embossing folders and many different dies. I have yet to use my Glimmer Foil machine with it but I do not expect any problems. You may find it helpful to watch Jennifer McQuire's Youtube post on the use of this machine. She's so helpful and it might help ease your worries. Also I find it much easier to turn the main handle than most of my other machines. I own 10 machines not counting this one across 5 different brands. Three different electric machines. Two are full 6" electrics. Turns out I prefer the manual operated crank the handle varieties over the electrics. Only one other machine is as easy to manage or easier but Scrapbook does not like name brands used in their reviews. That machine also has very limited uses & a few con's that I'd choose this machine price wise and ease of use hands down. By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I don't feel like a lot of pressure is needed to change the pressure dies, but I do work with my hands. I will tell you the machine is a little heavy, but no unreasonably so. The turning of the handle is a dream. I didn't even think it was cutting, but I cut felt and it was perfect! By: Holly Root (07-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Same for the Spellbinders foiling set too. That's the one you heat up then run through a die cutting machine and it foils great. For those who need more understanding Jennifer McQuire Youtube on showing many of the best ways to use this Gina K 6" Intri-cut is most helpful. She shows how to use the Better Press and also how to use the rubber mat sold separate here to make embossing out of both dies and stencils. And how to adjust the dials. Also how different thicknesses of embossing folders 2D and 3D are adjusted tighter or looser. I just got my machine so experimenting myself with all the different ways to succeed with this machine. Love it. By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello. The top dial will be set to the Letterpress setting (straight up) and the bottom dial to 0. Adjust the bottom dial if more or less pressure is desired after trying it. • Search via the internet for "Craft Platform, Cutting Mat, Adapter, 3 Plates for 6 inch Adjustable Die Cutting & Embossing Machines" Bira the manufacturer for this Gina K machine does make replacement platforms usually sold in bundled sets with the adapter for steel rule dies and also a cutting plate. Note they are sold 6" by 9" standard that comes with the Intri-cut but also there is a 6" x 13" extended size too. (Make sure you select the correct size and not a 9" machine version also available 9" x 13" machines and platforms that Gina K has yet to introduce. The minute she does I'll be at the front of the line because I am sold hook line and sinker die and embossing folder wise with this 6" machine. I suspect eventually these will be available here on Scrapbook too.) Note you can buy from Scrapbook the magnetic platform and cutting plates for the 6" machine that will allow you to cut two sides again. And yes Scrapbook sells the replacement cutting plates for both the regular grey cutting plate and the replacements to the magnetic version 6x9's only. As of today I have not found an extended magnetic platform set so only 6x9 not the 6x13 inch. I make wood blocks to fit on both sides of my open bay doors of my machine to support the extended 13" sized dies and cutting plates. Also available but a slight shipping charge which is combined for each one you order at under 5 dollars. I ordered five 9x13 cutting plates the grey style for 30 and change today myself. And for similar price the extended platform bundle too. That gives me 6 new extended cutting plates. In for a penny in for a pound as the old saying goes. I just felt it's great to spend approx 6 per cutting plate and 30 for the platform plus plates too and be set for quite some time. I'm finding like others that these grey cutting plates hold up longer to warping than the original acrylic plates have. Hope this helps. By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • That was one of my concerns too. I'm hoping Gina K will introduce the 9" machine one of these days that the same company makes too. Because I have over sized steel rule dies and some extra large dies too they do not fit through a 6". My favorite box die a oversized butterful lantern/box die has a 6" by 12" length die. There is no way these dies fit through this 6" Intri-cut machine. Of course I knew that when ordering so I will still keep my 8.5" machine for those dies. But can tell you I'll be happy to upgrade to a 9" Intri-cut if Gina K decides to offer it. But my daily go to machines been a name brand 6" and planned to upgrade it this fall as they have the same machine in a new improved model. Then I came across this machine and doing a number of deep internet dives on it was happy to jump ship brand wise and not looking back. My only negative is that the plastic arms that fold down make a cheap plastic scraping sound that's a bit unnerving. Makes me worry about how well it'll hold up. My other name brand machines fold similar fashion and their plastics do not do that and feel far better material. Still I'm very pleased overall with this machine. I may look for a lubricant appropriate for plastics to ease the scrape/squeak sound when opening the doors on both sides. Love the handle and a few often used tools store in the fold down boxes too. It's a win win machine for me. Do some deep diving into the manufacturer of this machine & you might find accessories that fit this machine. I'm looking into what else is out there myself. The magnetic platform and set bundle by Gina K fits this machine but is still 6x9 inches only too. By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hi -
I would say the Gina K is really nice because you can turn a handle to adjust the varying widths of dies and embossing folders without adding any other plates or sandwiches. I have a few dies cut machines and the Gina K is my go to as it is just the easiest now to use - I don't have to remember all of the layer orders. This question is about a related product.
    • What they have in common. Six inch wide machines, folding bay doors. I don't have the Stampin Up machine. I do however own two other high end folding brand name machines. Another 6" and a 8.5". Scrapbook does not like us to answer with brand names. So I thought I loved these other machines. But was going to update the 6" this fall to the newest improved model with same name. Somewhere along the way I came across this machine and investigated it's virtues. I was sold before watching Jennifer McQuires Youtube video on using this Intri-cut. I'd already ordered it and was looking for a video to share and show a friend of mine also into die cutting machines. When mine arrived she came over for a play date and unboxing and following through Jennifer McQuires video paces. We tried various brands of dies, half a dozen or more 2D and 3D various thickness of embossing folders. We are in love with the machine. So much so her husband is now ordering her one as a gift..yes she knows she's getting it as she's stirring him in that direction. Women we are like that sometimes. I can tell looking at the Stampin Up that it might have a better plastic casing. But no storage doors. The handle does not remove and i love that it does. I have wanted to store my 6" original door which has similar body type as the stampin up so I can tell pretty much how it'll preform so though I favor the better plastic case I am blown away with ease and optional methods to avoid the typical frustrations involved in finding the right shim or shims, and stacks of cutting plates and most recently for my once favorite brand the base plates and more so called universal system and platform changes added to the complexity and frustration and though planned to update anyway....I can say the Gina K kinda kicks butt! Less frustration and less stacking this and that every which way adding or removing shims and still not finding the right combination or having to keep a note book to remind you of the correct sandwich with shims or no shims or what ever..no longer. (When you have over 100 embossing folders and close to 1000 dies working out what works with what brands or styles or specific item has just vaporized. It's now a turn of the dial. If it's too tight or too loose you stop and adjust the dial. Mind you no machine is perfect. I went through 3 electric machines before realizing I prefer manuals every time and usually cost less to replace cutting plates etc. I would appreciate a better plastic housing but one that still has those little storage options and that removable handle allows me to fit in two different drawer towers I use in my craft/office area now. Before the handle was always the problem just being a bit too long to fit side wise or front to back. My big 8.5" machine does fit in a classic file drawer however. So would the other machines but only had one spare drawer and now my Intri-cut with handle off slips right in front of the large machine and is not too tall for the file drawer either. (this is a classic file cabinet not the modern faux or shorter sized ones.) By: LASinMT (26-Jul-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • I really like the Gina K Intri-Cut machine. The ease of using the dial vs changing a “sandwich” of different plates is great!! • I (finally) just received my Intri-Cut machine (Oct 2024) after an almost year-long back-order wait. It did NOT come with any extras. No starter kit or anything. It came with 4 items:
      1 Intri-Cut Die Cutting Machine
      1 Cutting Mat (6" x 9")
      1 Platform Mat (6" x 9")
      1 Adapter Plate (6" x 9")
A bit disappointing there weren't any starter dies included (as it did when origianlly released in Nov. 2023) considering HOW LONG had to wait for it. But, still a great machine and works as I had hoped!!! By: mtkreddick (23-Oct-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Scrapbook does have sets that include dies but this is the VERY BASIC set with no dies or extras. It does come as another person mentioned with the platform, the shim or plate if you will for Steel Rule Dies only, and a basic grey cutting plate. It's all you usually need to get cutting with the machine. For those of us who are transitioning from other machines or upgrading we usually have plenty of dies and embossing folders etc. that we don't need to pay extra upwards of 5-50 dollars more depending on the sets pulled together and that include things like even the magic mat sold here on Scrapbook. I have over 9 machines and at least 5 different brands and this caught my eye when planning to upgrade to a new improved model of my favorite most used machine this fall. OH DEAR a slight if not huge detour here and I love this. I'm hoping they eventually offer it in the 9" model also made by the same makers of the Gina K Intricuts but until then for now I usually favor for daily activities a 6" and have a name brand 8.5" for my larger dies and larger Steel Rule dies so I'm pat for now. The demonstrator used dies and embossing folders from a variety or makers including Spellbinders, Altenew, Crafter's Companion, Sizzix, Gina K and Lisa Horton. Although she did not use any specifically by Anna Griffin, they should work just as well since this machine allows for small adjustments to thickness with the convenient pressure adjustment dial. This is the basic machine with just what many want like myself that has way too many dies and embossing folders etc. And not looking or need to include more of what I already own. But for those who would like the extras then by all means check out what Scrapbook has for bundled options. Do a search here on their website for Gina K Intri-cut machines and there should be a selection of bundles and basic machines pop up to choose from including extras like replacement cutting plates and even a magnetic platform and cutting plate set.
