  The inner width of box is 3 & 5/16th ( a little over 3 1/4 th wide ). Different brand of pads are different depths .... Doodlebug pads are 1/4 deep =13 pads, Lawn Fawn pads are 3/8 deep= 8 pads, and G45 pads are 3/8 deep = 8 pads. Hope this helps... these are the only brands of small pads I own.
