Love this tool!! I am so enjoying the demos that the designers are doing now. It really encourages us to get in our craft rooms and play. Thank you for shipping so fast!

    So fun!

This machine is really fun to use. It takes some getting use to but I love foiling everything!

I'm Addicted to Foiling and Can't Stop!

The Minc is such a wonderful machine for foiling! It's super easy to use and has multiple settings to foil a variety of substrates, including chipboard! My favorite method is using the Minc toner ink stamping ink and brayering it on to a stamp. It creates such a wonderfully distressed look. I'm completely addicted and can't stop foiling--I just want to add it to everything now!

  • Is this a laminating machine?   By: ohiovicki (28-Feb-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • From the Minc FAQs:
Yes! However, not all laminators are created equal! We took the basic concept of a laminator and re-engineered
it so that our customers would achieve superior results every time. In order to achieve the best quality project
(foil that is smoothly applied in the finest of detail) we had to build a machine that produced results beyond a
standard laminator. During our development stage we manufactured and tested several prototypes in order to get
      it “just right.”

Some of the things that make the Minc. different include:
      1. The ability to accept a true 12” sheet – perfect for scrapbooking and other large surfaces; especially for DIY-ing.
      2. Four pressure rollers (instead of two, which is common in most laminators) for more evenly
distributed pressure across the entire 12”x12” sheet. Twelve-inch, four-roller laminators that are similar in design
can run as high as $250 – making our Minc. an exceptional value.
      3. An interior heating element that spans the entire 12”x12” surface evenly.
      4. An adjustable heat setting feature that allows for foil transfer on sensitive materials like vellum all the way to
more robust chipboard and even thin wood veneers.

Q: Can I use the Minc. with lamination supplies?
A: Yes! Please follow the guidelines below:
      1. When using standard 3 MIL laminating pouches from an office supply store make sure you place the Minc. on a
heat setting of 3. There is no need to use the Minc. carrier sheet when laminating pouches are being used. Insert
your item into the laminating pouch and feed through the Minc. opening.
      2. When using standard 5 MIL laminating pouches from an office supply store make sure you place the Minc. on a
heat setting of 3. There is no need to use the Minc. carrier sheet when laminating pouches are being used. Insert
your item into the laminating pouch and feed through the Minc. opening.
      3. DO NOT USE A HEAT SETTING HIGHER THAN A 3 WITH THE 3 MIL. OR 5 MIL. LAMINATING POUCHES By: Christianne613 (02-Mar-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

I want to buy a minc machine in blush but in 220voltage because she is living abroad. since it will be a gift to my sister. Will it be possible?   By: User (13-Jun-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • When I lived in Asia, I had a converter. I plugged my printer into it. You should see if your sister can buy a converter that will convert from 110V to 220V...

Hong Kong also uses 220 V...that is where I lived. By: Mary HK (09-Feb-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • That is a question you would have to ask Heidi about. I don’t think my machine is set up for 220 voltage and I don’t know if she makes these for European countries. By: Kathy Crum (15-Jun-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
