I have had many trimmers and not cheap ones either. I saw that Gina K used this one so I orders it when I had a very large order to do. I love it all the measurements are wonderful. Love love my paper trimmer! I use a lot of 12x12 paper and didn’t want to spend a fortune just to get straight cut exact size paper. This is my favorite ever!
Shame this guillotine is all plastic,otherwise it is fantastic and will be very useful especially because it is the larger size
I've transitioned to guillitoine cutters because frankly I'm tired of buying endless blades for traditional paper trimmers. And new blades are not created equal. Some last as they should while too many lose their edge after only a few cuts.
My first guillitoine was the We R small guillitoine cutter. Love it! And despite space being a premium in my craft room I'm happy I bought the large one as well. For everything you gain you give something up. Only you can decide if it's for you. But it's a great guillitoine for 12x12 paper!
Not as sturdy and as good of a quality as my tonic 12 inch trimmer I had to replace. The plastic just feels cheaper. But it’s decent enough and does the trick.

How does this trimmer perform when cutting cardstock, especially 110# cardstock or heavier papers? Thank you!

Does this trimmer require a battery to operate? I saw this product on another site that said it requires a 12 volt battery to operate.

Hello! This trimmer is not self-sharpening. If the blade feels dull, you can try slicing through aluminum foil to refresh the edge.

The arm on my guillotine doesn't stay up. Is their a way to fix this?

Hello and thank you for asking! For safety reasons the arm of the guillotine cutter should not stay up with the cutting edge exposed. It is best practice to lift the cutter, slide the paper into the slot for cutting with one hand, hold it in place against the top tab to keep it aligned and squared to the blade, and then slice downward with the other hand.
