Display markers and pens next to your favorite inks in the Best Craft Organizer PortaInk Marker Buddy. The Buddy securely attaches to PortaInk Cases with adhesive Velcro. It will hold up to 24 markers and pens (up to 1/2" in diameter), and measures 16.25" x 4.93". It makes it so easy to find what you need.
I have four of these that I purchased years ago. I like that they take up so little horizontal space. I just purchased four more to hold more markers because they work so well. They are sturdy and reasonably priced. I will say that you need to use the Velcro (sorry for using the name brand, I can't recall the generic name) to hold them together so they remain standing. Now that I have a total of 8, all connected, they are even sturdier. Happy camper!
This unit is perfect to save space. I was worried I would not be able to get the pens out if they were all side by side. But that has not been a problem. The hole fit all my pens and brushed except the Copic sketch markers do not fit all the way in because there is a taper to the holes. (smaller at the back) It would be nice if they made the hole a bit bigger. The case is a sturdy plastic. Easy to clean.
I bought three of these, but decided NOT to attach them to the rotating ink carousel. What I did instead is used some double-sided tape to stick three together and then I sat it next to my Cricut up against a cabinet to store all my Cricut and American Crafts pens in...it's only about 3 1/2 inches wide, and now all my pens are right next to the machine for easy pickin'!!
However there is not enough Velcro to make hold the pen holders to the ink pad storage unit. I will have to go and buy more Velcro to add to what comes with the pen holder. It keeps coming loose and when that happens you cannot put spin the stamp pad holder. The manufacture needs to put more Velcro in the kit.
This item has its goods and its bads.
Fits my pens but might not fit pens that are a bit fatter.
The velcro attachments are iffy. I will be adding additional velcro to sturdy up my holder. This pen case will not stand independent you will need to attach it to something else.
For the price i will probably purchase again if i need additional pen storage.
Nice product that my markers do fit in. The Velcro was different than I thought it would be, round circles instead of a strip. Made of heavy plastic like the ink pad travel spinner. Fits well om the side of the spinner. I only problem I see is that the markers fall at when you go to pick up for traveling. You must remove them or they will be all over the place. I'm working on a solution for that. Otherwise nice product. May need to reorder 2 more. They hold 24 markers.

I've had the PortaInk Dual Swivel Traveler for a few years now & love it so much, so I finally decided to buy a marker buddy to see if I liked it.
Well, I'm still not sure what I think yet...maybe it's the way I have my system set up (I don't have my 2 PortaInk cases on the swivel base but sitting beside each other with my ink & font reference book in between them). I put the marker buddy on the inside (between one portaink & the book) & most of my markers (Zig Writers) stick out farther than I like (2 1/4").
I guess I should've taken the time to measure the markers vs. the size of the buddy, but I didn't. Obviously I'll be keeping it since I opened it, but I'm not sure if I'll buy another or look for a different system. Guess time will tell.
ETA: Have not ended up using it because it just doesn't work for my markers.
was thrilled to find something on-line to hold my markers! I've slowly been trying to get my self organized, and be able to have more room to work at my craft desk! I was even MORE thrilled when it came with the Velcro to have the 4 holders I bought so I could hook them together!

This measures approximately 16 3/8" x 4 5/8" x 13/16". It is meant to be used with the Portaink system but some have used it on its own as well.

I tried a Copic oval. It didn't go all the way in and the cap got stuck when I pulled the pen out. I finally found a piece of wire small enough to stick in from the other side to push the pen out. So, no.
