This two piece Easygrip Mat is from Crafter's Companion and is part of the Essential Tools Collection. This package includes the Easygrip Mat and a printed grid sheet to help you with your measurements. This mat has a super-secure hold on both sides to keep your project in place while you craft. This mat can be laid onto your workspace and your paper laid on top of the mat to keep it in place while you work. This mat will also hold your ink pads in place so no need to worry about your ink pad moving all over your workspace. This mat is heat resistant and will clean up easily. This mat and grid sheet measure 10.5" x 12".
The mat does not have a strong odour. I'm not sure exactly what the mat is made of but according to the description on the Crafter's Companion web-site it is an "innovative material". Hope this helps. I do like the mat as it really keeps anything you put on it in place.
