I love this book! I was frustrated with how to organize all my pictures and reading this book gave me just the tools I needed. Stacy gives step by step information, specific tools as well as recommended tools, and then information on real live people who have followed her advice and been successful. I recommend it it everyone!
Wow, where to start. I'm taking the Library of Memories class from Big Picture Scrapbooking and that's the basis of this book.
I love it and here's why: Stacy lays out a groundwork to begin scrapbooking with freedom from chronology. I have been scrapbooking since '93 and I stopped somewhere along the way because the thought of scrapbooking ALL my photos was paralyzing. And really, how many Christmas pages can you create that are inspiring and original?????
She brilliantly gives a sound organizational system that is flexible enough for anyone to make it their own. There also are strategies of how to store and scrap memoribila and school papers/photos in a doable yet fun way. She has tips on how to get your photos to "flow" through a storage system that helps you get your hands on the photos you need when inspiration strikes.
This has been revolutionary for me. I now have a way to organize and scrap my photos so that I can enjoy the hobby again and STOP feeling guilty!
5 stars out of 5 stars!!
I was able to purchase a copy of this book at the Get Croppin' expo in Chantilly, VA where Stacy was a guest speaker. I read it in just two days, and have already started working on the digital sorting. It is going to be a lot of work to implement her system, but she does a good job of explaining the steps involved, and it really will be freeing to scrapbook "out of order" (chronological order).
If you are a fan of Stacy's you'll know what that means!
I too, was able to get this book at Scrapbowl this year and get my copy signed by Stacy. I read it in about three hours....I could not put it down. Stacy's system is so liberating and freeing, I will no longer feel overwhelmed by my 20,000 plus unscrapped photos.
This book is liberating, informative and flat out the best information any scrapper could get. If you need help getting over a dry creative spell this is a great help.
If you haven't figured out a way to organize your photos, both printed and on your computer, this book explains a fabulous system to do so. I read it in just days, couldn't put it down in fact, and implemented parts of it within a week. I really can find the photos I need within minutes, and I know where to file every photo I have laying around. Try it!
