I actually just bought this item last night and I am so in love with it. I knew I had to come on a write a good review for it. I have never owned a circle cutting system before. I have never wanted to spend the money on one. I usually just trace and cut the lids of pans and stuff. Last night, I went out on a wim and bought this one.
I am SO glad I did. It cuts beautifully and quickly. A much faster system than what I was doing before.
But the greatest part is this. The directions say the biggest size circle it can cut is 7 1/2 inches in diameter. I wanted a cutter system that could cut bigger than that. WELL I discovered if you just flip over the blade you can cut along the OUTSIDE of the template. This gives you WAY more options. I was able to cut a circle 11 1/2 inches in diameter. I am SO glad I finally bought a circle cutter. I know it will get ALOT of use!!
And am so glad I decided to go with this cutting system even though it is more expensive than some others. I love using it for cutting out photos, mats and patterned paper. It cuts in 1/8" increments, so it makes really nice mats for your photos or can make rings for your pages. If you use the smaller circle template, you can turn the Curvy Cutter tool so it's facing the outside edge of the template and cut out a circle that's about 11-1/2" in diameter. This is a very versatile circle cutter. And like I said, I love mine. I use the EK Success 13" x 13" glass mat and a little repositionable adhesive on the glass to hold my photos or paper in place. It cleans up easily with a little glass cleaner and a paper towel. I also have the oval templates.
This item has been well reviewed. I would like to just add that I love this product.
As well as you dont have to have a glass mat to cut on. If the fact that you dont have one is detering you from buying dont let it. I use a large self healing mat every time I use this (which is pretty often).
I did use a glass mat once to try it out and hated it. My paper and template slid all over the place and I ended up using a self healing mat to finish my cut.
Also this template can be used backwards. You can position the cutting piece to cut on the outside of the circle to make a larger circle. I have done this many times to make a 12 inch circle
I think I have tried most the of circle cutters on the market. This is simply the best circle cutter there is. I don't have the 13"x13" glass mat. I have a smaller one, but this works great. HINT: If you have a problem with your paper slipping on the glass mat, keep a roll of blue painters tape handy and tape your paper down. Voila, no slipping and beautiful circles. I needed a huge circle once and ended up drawing around the outside edge of the template and cutting that out. I can't wait to get the oval and the rectangle templates that go with this cutter! The blades last quite awhile, but keep a supply on hand, there's nothing like a fresh, sharp blade!

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! I got this as a birthday gift about a month ago. If you go into my gallery, you can see that I've been having a TON of fun with it!
Being a relatively new scrapbooker, I've found myself quite overwhelmed at the enormous range of choices of tools, and I've done alot of impulse buying so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this circle cutter is very consistent, the blade is very sharp- doesn't take much pressure for you to get a good cut, and the variety of sizes is just endless! It really helps give a depth and personality to your pages. It's an inspiring tool that opens a new door in your mind.

I love this cutter! I bought it a year ago and it is the best circle cutter I've ever used. You have to make sure to use the GLASS cutting mat with it or you will be disappointed. The instructions say it will only cut 7 or 8 inch max but actually if you turn the cutter around to face outside the rings using the smaller of the two rings you can cut a circle that will practically be the full size of a 12 x 12 piece of paper. The edges of the circles are crisp and the blade cuts well and you can also make rings by cutting the next size down of your original circle. Enjoy!
This is hands down the best shape cutting system on the market. I am severely craft knife challenged, so I had to find a system with a cutter -- I tried them all and it wasn't until I tried this one that I knew I had found the answer!!! I'm gonna run go PM the other reviewers about the size -- you can put the cutter in backwards and cut around the outside to make bigger and bigger circles -- just to be sure -- I just now cut one over 12" in diameter!!!!!!!! Run to buy this one ladies -- I can't wait for them to come out with a rectangle for mats!!!!!
I got this template kit as a gift, and I think it works fabulously. I thought it would be such a hassle because it was pretty big, but surprisingly it's not even that big. It cuts a variety of sizes for your layouts, cards, and any other projects. The curvy cutter latches right into the template, and I never have any problem with tearing my paper. I just run the blade around the template once, and I have a perfect circle! Get this tool if you don't already have it!

I'm very happy about the Curvy Cutter Circle Templates. They work well and open a whole new avenue for my creativity. I was disappointed, however to open the package and see there was no cutting tool inside that shows in the picture of the product. When the title said 'kit' and the picture showed the cutter, I thought it was all inclusive. Many other sites I visited did not show the cutter if they were only selling the templates.
I just bought this circle template kit along with the glass mat & cutter and I absolutely LOVE this product!! It works so much better than any other template system I've tried. Unlike the fiskars one, which leaves jagged edges - this template system is perfectly clean. This is a FANTASTIC product and I'm gonna have to go get the square templates next!
