I've been through almost every kind of tape runner that is produced for scrapbooking, and found fault with almost all of them. My Scotch ATG 714, however, is hands down the best tape runner or gun I've used. First, the cost is extremely low compared to other runners. Second, it is very easy to load and use. There is a little bit of wrist action you have to learn when "releasing" the end of a run of tape, but other than that it's pretty much intuitive. Third, since each roll of tape is 36 YARDS long, I don't have to constantly keep adding refills. I've gone for two 6 hour crops on the same roll of tape with some left to spare. I also like that the refill produces very little waste- just the tiny core and the backing paper is disposed of. I've disliked other tape runners that seem to replace half the mechanism when you install a new refill.

I had heard from some people that the Scotch ATG gun could be considered awkward and hard to load, but I did not find this to be the case at all. First, I thought loading was pretty easy. There are markings on the inside of the gun that make it clear how the tape feeds though there. Granted, it's not as easy as a refillable cartridge of adhesive, but it's a lot more cost effective. And I think using it is really straightforward. And it never gums up or jams, which I think actually makes it easier to use than the smaller refillable adhesive applicators which often gum up or jam. I have been using mine for almost two months now and I still have tons of adhesive left on my first roll.

I never thought I would be able to adjust to the size of this applicator, but I have found that is it one of the easiest to use. The adhesive lasts for an extremely long time and it holds better than any I have used in the past. If you don't have one yet, just know that once you buy it, you will wonder what took you so long.

I was hesitant to purchase this due to the upfront cost, but I am so happy I got this. It is very simple to use - it doesn't gum-up or break and holds excellent. Only problem is that I forget how to load the tape because I no longer have to refill after a layout or two (great problem to have!) Another huge plus is the cost of the adhesive - 36 yards @ $7 vs. Tombow Mono 6 pk. price of $10+ for the same amount. So, over time, you will end up saving money.

I love this thing. Bought it and put it together with no directions although the instructions come with it. It is lightweight and will pay for itself in no time. I used another adhesive runner all the time and would typically use one per project. The refills for this gun hold 36 yards of adhesive. Its great!!!!

This adhesive gun is a must-have item for the serious scrapper! While the initial purchase price is more than your traditional adhesive, you will be amazed at how long a single roll will last you. No more running out of adhesive mid-layout, because a little bit of this stuff goes a LOOOONG way! The gun itself is a bit large, but the weight is surprisingly light. You'll be the envy of the crop when everyone else is buying more adhesive, and you're still on your first roll!

The best thing since sliced bread. I have battled adhesive issues for years. The cost, getting all gummed up and now I have no problems at all and this last forever. I was worried about the size, it looks big and bulky, but once you get the hang of it there is no going back. Saves you tons of money, and no messy gummy clean ups anymore! LOVE IT!

I love this product because it holds a lot of adhesive; you are not constantly looking/changing refills. The adhesive itself holds very well. You can also get different sized tape for the same tool. The two things I don't like about it is that the adhesive is permanent--once its down, its down. Also, the gun is kind of big and bulky, so not real easy to carry around. But, I think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Definately recommend.
The first time I saw a scrapper using one of these at a convention I thought that was just crazy....now I wouldn't live without mine! Wow! Wow! Wow! I can create 'forever' with this thing...and just in case I always keep extra adhesive around for when I need a refill. I will say that it lasts so long that I have to look at the directions to refill when it's time to do so...not such a bad problem to have I think.

Loving this applicator. It seemed a little bulky to use at first and took some practice.
I no longer have to worry about my matting coming loose from the picture because the quality of this adhesive is well worth the cost of the gun. It doesn't gum up and it's easy to load.
Only wish that for the price of the gun, they should have included either a free roll or sample of the adhesive
