How could a Grandma (or any Mom) pass this up? Glow in the dark embossing powder. I was thinking Halloween cards. But now want to try it on some lighting bugs! ;) What Fun <3
Love, love, Love! Makes the card glow
I just tried to use this glow-in-the-dark embossing powder recently, and maybe it's just me, but I didn't get the result I expected. I used embossing ink, poured the powder over it, heated with my heat tool, all as I usually do, and this powder only melted on about 1/3 of the project - the rest was still powdery and rough to the touch, and I figured I hadn't heated it enough, so continued to do so and scorched the cardstock. I heat emboss all the time with regular embossing powder, so I don't have a clue why this one isn't working for me.
Bear in mind this powder is super awesome to work with, but when one is coerced by a 6-year-old to stamp "'glow" worms on her ceiling, it becomes hideous. She is ecstatic! And the power clings perfectly to Versa-mark. We had to use cling wrap to get it up there but it worked fantastically! We did heat treat but were very cautious due to the paint on the ceiling. I think it is more stuck to the Versa-mark than bonded with the heat. All in all, it looks good to me~
We will be using this again. I just hope it is less ewww?
This one always seems to be out of stock, so grab it while you can. I waited a while to get my hands on it and it was worth the wait. Looks great on cards, and adds a different twist you don't often find.
Used in this project: Glow in the Dark Effect
Fine powder allows for easy application. I had to apply two coats of the powder to give my project the look I was wanting. Creates a beautiful glow.
THIS IS SO FUN! CAN'T WAIT TO USE IT ON CARDS FOR MY GRANDSONS!
