I used it today and have to go buy one soon!! I tried this one out and love it. I like the gridlines..so if you want to cut a certain size like..4x6 you can just use the gridelines and cut the perfect size.
it takes a little getting used to..considering it is a little large..and the blade takes a little but of effort to push..but once you use it awhile you get used to it in my opninion. Even though it is larger in size, it is really lightweight and folds in half to take to crops!

This is such a good papertrimmer I wouldn't change it for anything! I thought my old one was... well... OK. It did it's job, but it was kinda hard to cut and you really had to push down the blade for it to cut properly. This one is SO easy to use. Just slide in the paper under the little plastic strip and cut!
Also, I love the grid on the cuttingboard. You can fit a full 12x12-paper and cut all sorts of sizes with help from the grid. Makes perfect cuts every time with almost no effort needed at all. :) If you're gonna get a new papertrimmer, this one is worth every penny! (And I paid the regular price plus shipping to Sweden plus Swedish taxes which are 25% of the amount, and I still think it's worth every penny!)

What a wonderful trimmer! I couldn't scrap without this trimmer. I love that it folds in half so it fits nicely on my table. I love when it is full size you have lines completely across so you can easily line up your paper. Like others have stated the only con is it is bulky (especially for travel) but the benefits definitely outweigh the bulkiness!

The best feature on the Making Memories trimmer is that the blade is self sharpening!!! Love that it folds for portable and easy transfer and the quality is just amazing! It cuts with such precision each and every time! BUT you do have to make sure you line up the paper properly when you open the fold!
It's a bit heavy when attempting to take to a crop, but for use at home it's perfect.

My dh bought this for Valentines Day for me and I am very happy with it. I love the grids which make it easy to trim to size. Also it folds in half for easy storage but is not at all flimsy. When opened, the trimmer has a valley which can be used to help create a crease. Open the trimmer, lay the paper flat, and run a ruler or other small item down the valley. There is your crease. I love my trimmer.

I have went through many trimmers and they all seemed to go crazy after awhile. I bought this trimmer after much research cause I was tired of always spending money on a new trimmer. I have to say that this has got to be the best trimmer out there! It has a self sharpening blade and many grid lines to help line up your paper for a even cut. I love this trimmer and am so glad I splurged and got it!

I have owned several other paper trimmers and tried others. This one is the easiest to use. It gives you cutting guides for different sizes of paper and photos so you get just the cut you want and straight cuts. The ruler can be used to help you hold the paper on the trimmer or you can use it alone. It folds so that you can store away when you are not using it. I would say that for the money, it is well worth it. You will not want another trimmer!!

I've tried almost every paper cutter under $50. This one is by far the best! It holds the paper firmly in place for the cut. The blade cuts perfectly and accurately. It is self-sharpening so there won't be a need for replacement blades. The measurements are nicely labeled on the cutter. It is a little larger than my old cutter but it does fold nicely.
My favorite thing about this trimmer is that the blade is self sharpening. I don't need to worry about having replacement blades handy. Also the included magnetic ruler helps keep the paper in place very nicely so that it is easy to ensure a straight cut. My one issue is that cutting strips from thin scraps is not very easily done. There is a guard in the way that prevents this.

Let me just say "WOW". I am very impressed with this trimmer! I had been using a very old, small fiskars trimmer which couldn't cut a straight line at all! I bought this trimmer with a coupon, but it is definitely worth the full price. Cuts straight EVERY time and the marked grid/ruler is an awesome feature!
I can't say enough good things about this trimmer. Granted, I've only had it a week, so I can't speak for its' long term effectiveness, but so far I LOVE it.

Hello, I noticed that the making memories paper cutter is discontinued. Do you know if I can order replacement blades?

I do not believe they have replacements, as the blade is self sharpening. I have had mine for 15+ years and the blade is still cutting just fine. The plastic strip on mine just broke, but it is still functional so I just keep using it! Hope I could help!
