Send out some birthday wishes with a handmade card using the Happy Birthday Chunky Layered Die Set by Paper Rose. The package includes two thin metal dies that are compatible with most die cutting machines (sold separately).
I was so very disappointed in this product. It is a 2-piece die set. When I ran the "happy birthday" through the die cutting machine, it came out in 3 pieces. Happy and irth are one piece. B is the second piece. And day is the third piece. I now see that the advertised picture does, indeed, show that, but I did not notice it. It means that if I use it, I will have to piece it together. That means more meticulous work and more time, not why I ordered this die.
This is the smaller of the two versions of this die set. You have options to have just the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on its own or you can have it framed with a contrasting background. This is a nice die to have for any birthday card. I like the lower case bold type face. Be aware that the whole sentiment is not completely attached. The "b", the dot for the "i", and the word "day" are cut separately so you do have some assembly. It took a little practice to line the letters nicely. The trick is to run the die a few times so that you get a clean cut through your machine.
Over time I have grown to prefer layered word dies and this one is a good one! Just what I wanted. Thanks.
