I got caught up in the promotions/ads and was looking forward to these second sets. The colors I saw in the teasers on insta by Prima showed bright colors. There are a few bright colors and the biggest setback for me is that three colors: bear, cavern and redwood are in the complexion set that I recently bought. I am a little disappointed as at this point - after swatching the colors, they are not living up to my expectations. Maybe after playing with them some more - I may change my mind?
I didn't like the duplicate shades among these 3 watercolor confections that came out (complexion, essence & woodlands), but other than that, I love the colors
I'm a fan of this line by Prima. The colors are super pretty and you get good quality for your money.
Beautiful shades in this release. Every color one needs to paint landscapes. Seriously love these little pallates. Great and not too pricey.
In general, these Prima Watercolor sets are perfect for journaling and what might be called painting-notes. The colors are vivid and the paints themselves respond quickly without a lot of priming. They are not as transparent as a Windsor/Cotman grade paint pan, but they blend well and will not bleed through as a marker might.
