If you're going to purchase a glue for your mixed media projects then this is THE one! Holds any embellishment to any surface! Glue it, give it a blast with your heat gun and that sucker is NOT coming off! We used this in Finnabair's classes I took last weekend for ALL our projects and I can tell you it is fantastic.
I got this to adhere large dimensional objects onto my projects without a glue gun and boy does it work! It's great to have something so tough and yet so great looking when you're a little capricious with it. Unlike glue gun glue this gel is malleable and can be spread into small or large spaces with a brush or a palette knife. It dries completely clear and blends in with regular gel medium, or can be coloured with ink/paint, or just ignored as a shiny accent if it squishes out the edge of the item you're gluing down. And it rubs right off your fingers which is good because it's a bit messy unless you're really careful. :)

This stuff is amazing! It is perfect for adhering all manner of embellishments to your mixed media projects like metal elements and paper flowers. I even use it on scrapbook layouts for heavier embellishments!

Yep, it's heavy body gel, just as described. Great for all your heavy body gel needs. It's good for gluing things...and probably good for other things as well.
What a waste of 15 i was very dissatisfied and disappointed because it was dry I live on a budget and I am disable so I live and enjoy creating since my husband passed away this brings me some comfort but when I spend money I don't have on a product that is supposed to help me create and it doesn't then there's a problem here pl help me fix this situation so that it doesn't happen to someone else like me thank you for listening to m godbless I am a loyal customer and would like to continue being one

In my understanding of gels, which is limited to what I have seen of soft gloss gels in videos and personal use of 3D Matt gel in some of my mixed media, soft gloss gel can be used with mica powders. How does the heavy body gel do with mica powders and can it be thinned? If so what with? Has anybody tried this?
My understanding is that the heavy body gel is more for glueing metal elements in mix media that have weight to it or say a very thick heavy weight paper. At least that is what I use it for. I don’t think heavy body gel would do well with mica because you need the gloss to keep the shine of the mica, otherwise it will dull your colours and really take away the affects from mica. I personally would not recommend doing that it would be a waste of time and product. See the one I use the most is finnabair soft matte gel for stuff like tissues, napkins or anything thin light weight that I like to collage with. I also use soft matte gel, her clear gesso or a workable fixative when I want to seal something that is water reactive and I want to place another layer to my collage. For instance I will use one of those product once I use spray or inks to seal them so they can’t move around smudging and reactivating but best advice always do a little test on the side to see how your products will react. It is also easier when your doing a mix media piece and then you want to mark make either with your ball point pen( the ones from Ranger I think they are the best) must be permanent or there are many different types of pencils that will go over better on your soft matte gel. It just doesn’t slip like it would on gloss gel but also another point most of the time you will want to make sure things are dry before you make marks. Don’t get me wrong I started with finnabair line and I love it but when I have trouble sourcing her products there are other lines were you can get basically the same stuff but they may have it under a bit of a different name but like I said it is really pretty much the same stuff with sometimes a few little differences like Ranger brand that Tim Holtz created or even Dina Wakley line,Liquitex or Golden are other brands that you can have a look at. I definitely do know that Scrapbook.com does carry the first two brands that I have suggested Ranger and Dina’s. I have used both of their brands in the past and they really work well if you are in a pinch. Liquitex or Golden you can find just about anywhere. However, I do know Golden is a much more expensive brand than the others. I hope this helps and good luck in your artistic journey.
