The first thing I do when paints or waxes arrive is to do a swatch on both black and white cardstock. I just smear it with my finger--about 1 1/2" long and about 1/2" wide--and then I label the sample. The silver gives a very nice shimmer on both but it looks a little darker on white. I think all the waxes look different depending how the item is being viewed either straight on or at an angle. There is also a bleed through which looks almost like a grease mark on the three Metallique Waxes that I've tried. Probably not an issue on mixed media projects. Old Silver is a lovely color--shines like a new dime. I've read about the odor of the waxes and like another reviewer I think they smell great!
I especially like the size for the large one sold at the hobbit stores are too expensive and id never use all of it..I love the color and size..its perfect for my crafts..i use on polymer clay and gift tags...
This is a very pretty color, can’t go wrong with a silver color. If you are sensitive to scents then you will not like this product. It lingers on the project and since I used my finger to rub it on I could smell it all day, even though I washed my hands several times after using it. I don’t understand why Prima needed to add scent to a wax but I won’t be buying another one.
A lovely shade of silver. Good for rubbing with your finger over rusty metal embellishment, petals of mulberry paper flowers, chipboards, resins, & catching the tops of objects in mixed media.

Yes, you can rub off what you do not want while it is still workable. It will dry and cure within hours though.

What are the dimensions of these tins? I am trying to figure out if they will fit in a Ranger storage tin. And if yes, which one and how many would fit?

They are about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch tall. Not sur3e if they will fit in a Ranger storage tin as I do not have any to test!
