This jar of Metallic Flakes, Paris, is from Prima and Finnabair and is part of the Art Ingredients Collection. This jar contains metallic foil flakes that will add a gilded look to any surface. For optimum results, use with Art Extravagance Gilding Glue and apply the flakes with a dry, soft brush (sold separately). These metallic flakes can be added to any home decor, mixed media, or decoupage project. After the flakes are dry, they can be protected with a glossy solvent or a water-based varnish (sold separately). This jar contains five fluid ounces or 150 ml of product.
I have used other brands of gilding flakes and have loved the effects. I was very disappointed to find this brand had VERY tiny flakes, almost to the point of dust, rather than the large pieces found in other brands. The gilding effect was very difficult to achieve. Also the actual colors received are quite different from the representations. Learned my lesson. Will only use the other brands.
I haven't had a chance to use these flakes yet but the colours are absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to try them.
