    I remember Tim being asked if the distress oxide pads would ever come out as minis. He said no. It had to do with ink and that it needed a larger pad to have the desired oxidation effect.       Hello, the Mini Ink Pads are just like the large ones with less surface area. The effects of the ink have not changed, and the process Tim speaks about in his video has happened over a long period of time, not just to make these Mini Oxide Ink Pads. The changes that have happened over the course of time have made it possible to make these ink pads, which is why this has changed. We highly recommend watching Tim Holtz's video, as he demonstrates the ink pads and goes into great detail regarding the pros and recommendations for using the small vs the largest ink pads.       Hello, thank you for reaching out. Tim Holtz has advised in the past that he did not think they would be coming out with the Oxides in the Mini size; however, with changes at Ranger Ink with new technology and machinery, it has made it possible. In the live stream video, he goes into more detail regarding this information. We have the video linked in the secondary images under the primary photo for the product.
