This bundle includes one 2.75" x 3.75" dye ink pad and one .5 fl oz dye ink reinker from Simon Hurley by Ranger Ink. Made in the USA.
I like the color of this ink but have not been impressed with the Simon Hurley ink pads overall. I have only ordered these ink pads through Scrapbook.com but all seven of the ink pads I have ordered seem dry in comparison to the Ranger Distress oxide inks and do not go on to the paper as smoothly. I honestly feel like they have been a waste of my money.

I typically use two different brands of ink pads but wanted to try Simon Hurley since I follow him on YouTube. I purchased four colors and am quite disappointed. There isn't as much ink as with the other brands I use. I tried the direct ink to paper technique and could tell how little ink is actually on the pad. I would not buy this brand again.

Thos Simon Hurley Dye Ink Pad in Bee Sting was a freebie from Scrapbook.com and while the colour is beautifully vibrant, it leaves a little to be desire.
Looks like after having used it to blend the ink, well, let's just say as another reviewer mentioned you'll need to buy the reinker. The ink from this pad did not last very long to begin with and that's where the reinker comes in.
I really like Simon's products particularly the Lunar Pastes. They are simply marvelous.

Love the vibrant colors! Hope that other colors will follow that will compliment the holidays! Great job, Simon!!!

The color is great...exactly as shown on the photo...a deep red that looks wonderful. That being said, Ranger needs to put more ink in the pads. This is not Simon's fault, but rather (I feel) a Ranger design flaw. It just didn't seem like it had enough ink. I even stored it upside down for a few hours in hopes it would get the top of the pad more juicy but it was only minimally better. I received this as a free add-on from Scrapbook.com so I went ahead and got the reinker for it. I would say if you purchase these inks, get the reinker right off the bat so you won't be disappointed.

What a great color. You can never get too many shades of red. Ranger makes a great ink pad.

For the past couple of months I have been on the hunt for the best non-oxide ink for blending. I have now tested 7 different ink brands, with different papers and different tools. Simon Hurley's Ranger inks have come out on top for me. A couple of others are close, but these are the best for me. I only bought 3 colours to test and will now be gradually building up my colours and the refills. The only thing I don't care for (and this is being REALLY picky) is the ink names - they aren't always intuitive...I'm a bit old school when it comes to that. LOL As you can see, it's not a big enough deal to knock a star off. :) I definitely recommend these inks for blending.
