This is lots of fun. Being able to remove alcohol in from an image leaves a very cool ghosted look.
And then being able to stamp that image on card, genius!
The ink does make the stamp a little slippery/slidey when you place it on top of the alcohol image background, so be careful not to move it at all. Or better yet, use some sort of stamp positioner.
I found that ink must be new, hours old vs a print from weeks ago to get good clear lift. Even so had a lot of incomplete butterflies,stamp I was using most), did figure out but was disappointed that of course it wasn't as easy to do as video showed. Will keep at it though , cool use of alcohol ink
I really like the effects that can be obtained with this product.
You can remove color from your project and also transfer this same color to another surface. You can create great images.
Lifts off your stamped image to create an etherial effect on your alcohol inked backgrounds. Gives another option on how to use alcohol inked backgrounds.

Haven't used this ink yet. Look forward to trying it. Ink arrived in excellent condition and it is still wrapped up nicely.
Have not tried it yet. But I'm sure it's going to be awesome since it's a Tim Holtz product. Something I needed in my collection of inks!!!
I haven't had much time to play with this but it works great. Be sure to watch Tim Holtz's videos on this product.
Haven't had time to experiment yet but my plan is to make a set of birthday cards… one will get the shadow effect and one will get the lift off effect. I am excited to try it. They make it look so easy and awesome on You Tube. I'm hoping for great results too!

Will the Alcohol Lift Ink work on the Alcohol Pearls Inks?

According to Tim Holtz, Alcohol Lift Ink will not work on Alcohol Pearl inks because of the pigment in them. Hope this helps!

I was gifted a new alcohol lift-ink pad, but I don't have any alcohol inks. Is there any other use for these lift-ink pads, or can I use this with other types of inks (water-based dye inks, pigments, distressed inks/oxides, etc.)?

Hello, the alcohol lift-ink pad is going to work best with alcohol inks since they do not contain any type of loose pigment. This pad may work with an ink that is alcohol based.

Has anyone tried this stuff yet? Does it lift alcohol ink better than Versamark does? Does it "stamp" alcohol ink better than just using blending solution on a foam pad? Thanks.
