I am a huge fan of all things Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink. The Distress mini blending brushes are a great size and it's most helpful that they each have a lid to protect the bristles, as well as saves me a lot of clean-up and worrying about contamination with inks on the brushes touching.
All 12 of mine fit nicely in the mini distress ink storage tins (remove plastic insert) and I colored the 'rings' of each blending brush with sharpie markers to indicate ink colors, as shared by Tim Holtz.
I love that these brushes are protected by a metal casing. They are not as soft as the white blending brushes that I have.

I'm new to the Distress Ink. 1. Do I have to use the water on the stamp or can I stamp it straight onto my project. 2. Can I use this ink for heat tool embossing?

Hello! Distress ink can be applied directly to your projects and you can use it to heat emboss.

Just watched Tim Holtz's live launch and he used these brushes with the mini oxide pads. It looked like they will work great with stencils and stamps, but the larger brushes would still be better for large areas.
