I purchased the Distress Oxide and the matching reinker as a set. But for some reason they have the salvaged patina review as this review. So I'll have to rate these as individuals now. This new purple is absolutely amazing, make sure you purchase the reinker with all the Distress Oxides and distress inks as the ink pad arrive somewhat dry.
I LOVE Distress Inks and Oxides. However, I recently purchased 1 Distress and 2 Oxides from Scrapbook.com and all 3 of them smell bad. None of my Distress Inks or Oxides from other stores have a smell of any kind. It's very strange. They seem to work fine, but it's hard to use them because of the strong smell.

what is the difference in Distress Ink & Distress Oxide?

Distress Inks fall into the family of dye inks. Dye inks are transparent in nature and, due to their "thin" quality, dry quickly. Distress Oxides, on the other hand, are primarily constructed of pigment ink, a type of ink that is opaque and, due to its natural thickness, dries more slowly.
