    Domed Applicators

I was disappointed. The quality of the foam is no where near the quality of Ranger’s foam on their flat round foam applicators. Several of the foams fell apart when I lightly cleaned them under water and mild soap like I do with Rangers. The felt part is inferior material too. As a blending tool the blend is great hence the 3 star instead of 2. But the foam quality needs much improved before I order anymore.

    Best Applicators

I have every kind of blending applicator already, but just on a whim, I got these and I am so happy to have found them. I also purchased the tool and find that the velcro on that is more secure and the foams are sturdier so they come on and off easier than the other brands. I will now switch over to these totally for my blending needs.

    Marvelous Blending Tool

This tool is GREAT! Wonderful at blending without harsh lines. I will be ordering more replacements of the foam. This tool blends as well as the brushes being used for blending Distress Oxide inks.

The only drawback for the foam pad is that I washed it. When I tried to use it after washing, the pad pulled apart. I am unsure if the pad would have pulled apart if I had let it thoroughly dry. I will experiment with this issue. I am hoping that I can wash as necessary.

    My new favorite blending tool!

These have quickly become my new favorite tool for blending. The domed shape allows for easier blending with no harsh lines! They seem to pick up more ink for a faster blend, too...which is absolutely a dream. I love that the handles are grey to match with my Oxides (Lol) and I just ordered a bunch more so I can have a blending foam for all my colors.

Perfect for all kinds of blending techniques

These domed blenders work well to create multi-color blends and single color blends where you want soft edges. They're also great paired with stencils! Because they're rounded, they don't grab on the stencil edges as easily. I find that they work best with pigment inks like VersaColor or DIstress Oxides. With dye inks, the type of foam used to make these blenders likes to squeak which is kind of annoying.

    Amazing quality!!!

I got these just to see if they were better than the normal blenders that seem to fall apart so fast and I was not disappointed this is an amazing product. They last through multiple blends without even a hint that there is an issue. I definitely will be getting more as these are the best thing ever or ink blending!!!

    Domed Foam applicators

I love these domed foam applicators. Blending is a breeze with these. I prefer them over the blending brushes and they are a fraction of the cost. My only problem is that 2 of the ten that I received have had their backing come apart. I am ordering more to replace them. I love them that much.

    Awesome!

I love these ink blending tools! The foam is nice and dense and doesn't separate from the blending tool....an A+++ in my book!

    Work as Promised

I am a lousy "distresser" - I just don't have the right touch and I am always leaving lines, but not with these domed foam applicators! They work beautifully. No lines! Highly recommend!

  • I just purchased these, and they work great, but what is the proper way to clean them? The way I've been cleaning them- with soap and water- has already ruined one of the applicators after just one use. I don't plan to continue to use them if they're only going to be destroyed after one use. Help!   By: Dragonflier (05-Nov-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Hello! You can wash them lightly....however, ink will stain the sponges so they will never be completely clean. We make it affordable to use one for each color! By: Scrapbook.com (06-Nov-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • They are quite inexpensive. My suggestion, if you don't want one for each color, is to assign a colored tip to a color family - light blue, dark blues. That way you don't have to spend time cleaning, but rather crafting. :) By: nyingrid (05-Nov-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I saw a photo that the applicators are sitting in one of the awesome ColorCase boxes.
What size of Case will fit the applicators handles? The .5 oz or the 1 oz?
I was considering digging out my old Tim Holtz rotary thing that held his applicators for them, but would prefer the Color Case.
I have 2 different Scrabook.com blending tools and I'd like to know, if possible, what applications are they meant for?
I have the above ink blending tool with the domed applicators and the SBC Stencil Brushes. The description states that these domed applicators can do stencils. Sooooo, do I still use the brushes too?

    • As long as the craft storage unit you want is at least 1 1/2 inches high, you'll be fine.
These domed sponges are an improvement to the flat round blenders. They also fit the old
dauber tools, no need to purchase new ones. I hope this answers your question. Happy Crafting By: StampsNTx (24-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I just want to lend support to this. I sent an email to customer service about this same thing when they first came out. I’d love a way to buy the handles in bulk. PLEASE Scrapbook.com, give us the option of doing that. By: LunarMonkeyPaper (16-Jul-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I currently own handles for all of my distress oxide inks. I purchased my handles from Scrapbook.com and other craft stores when they would go on sale for 50% off. The handles come two pack with the round foam pieces. This took a little while to do but hopefully my response helps a little. I just ordered the new dome foam handle with extra dome pieces. I’m excited to try the new dome blender tool out. Happy crafting and I hope you find the handles. By: Amazing Creations (04-May-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
