    Exactly what I needed.

I love this 24" x 18" Project Grip with Grids. It prevents my tiny die cut pieces and other items from moving. Lord knows how many times I've lost small items when I've moved something or had the window open. This mat helps things stay put. I love the size and the grid. It makes aligning things a breeze, as well as allowing for a large gripping area. Also, the mat takes up little space since it rolls up and stores in its plastic container.

    Project grip really grips

When I first saw this I thought , well yeah, it will hold onto your paper projects. But will it sit still to my table top work station. And it HAS!!! I think this is working out great for me and I dont have to tape it down while I do any of my projects, big or small and it’s so easy to clean up afterwards. Love it!

    Disappointed

This mat is a great size to work on and cover/ protect your work space. Unfortunately it is super thin and doesn't stay put. It slides around, which is not what I expected from a silicone mat. Also the grip of the top surface is not as good as others. I think it's all in the weight, or lack there of, that makes this purchase not one of my favorites from scrapbook.com.

    better tna 5 stars

I have a glass table and have this on top of it. It works as a sticky mat and when it doesn't anymore, I just wash it off in cold water and it becomes sticky again. I put my paper down, then stencils and it sticks great. also if I am blending I put the ink pad on the mat and it doesn't move. Best thing that I got

    Great Work Surface

I didn't know I needed this, but it is wonderful. Even when I'm not making inky or glue-y messes, it is great to have this grippy surface. Love how large it is, too.

    Extra large

This covers almost my entire work area. It's shiny and really does grip. It cleans up very easy back to it's shiny finish. I couldn't be happier with this mat as it's very smooth to work on. The grid is super helpful. There's nothing not to love about this mat

    Very Nice Silicone Mat

While I haven’t used the mat yet, it seems to be on par with Scrapbook.com’s other silicone mats and some off brands I purchased elsewhere in thickness and being able to use both sides.

What I really like about this mat is it is black, has measurements (one side only) and the ability to align card stock so it doesn’t move to work on it. I will also be able to mix inks and paints on the mat as well as use the surface for gluing (should be able to wipe everything right off). Also, this is by far the largest mat I own and covers half of my work surface; a huge plus. Since this is silicone, the mat should be able to tolerate using a heat gun and hot glue around it.

I did have a Tim Holtz glass mat, which I recently gave to another crafter. While I liked the glass mat, it was just too heavy for me to keep moving it around in my small crafting space. So, this mat, I believe will easily take the place of the glass mat and the smaller silicone mats I have.

On my next order, I will be ordering the white version of this mat to cover the other half of my work surface!

    Its ok

I ordered this to use on top of my table and I also wanted to use it to hold my stencil so I’m able to use the cloud whip. Half way through my project the mat lost its grip and no longer would hold my stencil in place anymore. Also it started to rip at the bottom due to the constant cleaning of the cloud whip. I wouldn’t buy this again. I’d would rather spend more money on a product like a glass project surface. I would use this for inking or holding my ink pads. While I’m blending ink onto my cards and for constructing my cards together.

  • Is this "grip" mat the same thing as a "sticky" mat?   By: mahimmel (13-Feb-25) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello,
This mat is not sticky, but it will grip your paper and not slid if you are using brushes or stencils. It grips paper, stencils, ink pads and other things. By: Judybstampin (16-Feb-25) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello, this mat is a double-sided silicone craft mat, we would not recommend using an X-acto knife with this mat. We would recommend the self healing mat Scrapbook.com - Self-Healing Workspace Mat - Double Sided - Large - 24x18 which can be found at this link By: Scrapbook.com (25-Nov-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I haven’t used mine yet but just from looking at it (thin and flimsy) I don’t think so. I think it is more for protection and a work mat: By: Tammy777 (25-Nov-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I want to be able to leave the black mat down on my work surface 24/7 when it replaces my torn white one, but I'm concerned that it will transfer color to my work surface. • What is best way to store and travel this mat? Since grippy on both sides should it be wrapped in something once rolled? Can it be stored long periods rolled up and will it still lay flat next use?   By: oznatalie (27-Aug-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. • Hello! When storing these mats, you can roll them up. If you're worried about debris, you could cover them in plastic after rolling them. By: Scrapbook.com (27-Aug-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I'm not sure, so I hedge my bets and roll/store it between uses. It also keeps the dust/debris away that way. By: traceymail17 (18-Feb-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
