This is that really hard plastic that my mom always called Styrene. I don't know if it's really that stuff, it just feels like it. The lid is a little fiddley it opens on tracks and it's kind of easy to pull off it's track. Now, that being said, they are the right size and shape to hold loads of cricut cartridges and booklets with overlays. They truly are just right. How well they hold up and how well the top works over time, we'll see. I'm glad I got them (I got three of different color lids) and will try to use them to their full extent.
I was disappointed in the quality of the case. The sides seem a little unsturdy when you try to snap the lid in place, and the lid doesn't seem to fit that well. I plan on using them in my home and do not plan on transporting them back and forth to a scrapbooking event.
Pricey for what you get. bought it for the black lid only and that the ink holders fit. Would have bought Scraponizers had they had an item that held inks and stickles.
I bought this to store my Cricut Solutions and Seasonal cartridges in. The lid does not slide completely shut leaving a gap between the box and lid thus allowing dust to get inside. I tried contacting the ScrapCessories company directly through their website telling them of this problem and have NEVER gotten a response from them. This was over 6 weeks ago. This storage option was not cheap considering I had to buy the inserts for the cartridges separately on top of the cost of the box. I think that for what I paid, it should be a box where the lid actually slides closed all the way for goodness sake. That on top of the fact that they have crappy customer service (won't respond to e-mails) is a reason I won't buy anymore of the ScrapCessories products.
