This nine piece thin metal etched die set, Stitched Flower, is part of the Spring Into Stitching Collection from Spellbinders. This set features nine dies, one solid die for each design, and one die that is an insert for each with cut dots that are actually a guide for stitching the patterns with embroidery floss and a needle. These designs can also be used as is. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals and planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects. The large flower outline measures 2" x 2.10", the small flower outline measures 0.85" x 0.80", and the leaf outlines measures 0.65" x 1.6". Note from Spellbinders: It is recommended that you use two strands of the six strand DMC Floss or DMC Metallic Thread and size 22 tapestry needles (all sold separately) for optimum results when embroidering these designs.
I really loved the finish flower as the embroidery floss I used as the stitching really adds dimension. It can take a little more time to finish the flower/leaves but it is worth it!
This is beautiful when stitched. The flowers can be cut out or the stitching pattern can be cut into the card. I also used it to make a design for a luminary.
